Soderbergh will shoot the movie in London and Reeves will become more hands on once the movie returns to LA for post-production. Shooting is said to be about 2/3 completed at this point.

Director Steven Soderbergh approached Matt Reeves with the offer of directing the remainder of ‘THE BATMAN: PART 2’ in this statement:
“I thought Matt Reeves’ work on The Batman was stunning; it was intentional, specific, and rigorously coherent. The goal here is to work with Matt and his team to generate footage that will integrate seamlessly with what’s already been shot so Matt can properly finish his film.”

• Steven Soderbergh was the one that offered to help
• Matt Reeves will not able to be on set but will remain in communication and work closely with Steven remotely.

All that is without a doubt eating into the TV budget and is why it wouldn’t shock me if some of their 2028 slate gets delayed (but it’s honestly probably why X-Men’s cast is filled with up-and-comers where only Sink, Weaving, and Driver probably have leverage for a big paycheck)

RDJ’s contract alone is $80m and while no other actor’s will match it I don’t doubt at all how many of them (honestly, rightfully) want a pretty penny in response to that. Secret Wars is probably gonna be the most expensive movie ever made and it STILL isn’t shooting yet.

I mean let’s be real among a lot of other reasons for the TV division’s woes a big one is unquestionably Doomsday and Secret Wars having a combined budget worth the GDP of multiple small countries with god knows how many effects and returning actors ballooning it

Part of me is like, I want Daredevil Born Again to continue, because the actors want it to. But after watching some of it, I dunno if it's even worth watching?
Even the worst episodes of Daredevil were entertaining. It feels like this version of the show is sauceless.

The idea of releasing the patchwork disaster that was Daredevil Born Again S1 and being surprised that the audience didn’t show up.
You did nothing to earn people’s attention until S2 when it was clearly too late.

I remember I said a while ago that I fell away from Daredevil: Born Again halfway through season 1 and how it seemed like a lot of people did, and a bunch of stans were like "Who cares? Only the real dedicated fans matter".

Or maybe realize this is a continuation of a show that was 3 seasons in on another streaming service and have some perspective.
