I want to lean into Meanwhile... The Best, a book that's coming out later this year. To show the potential that an anthology might have. And to generate an interest in my anthology title. To that end, I'm offering an Advanced Reader Preview: soaringpenguinpress.eo.page/…

A few weeks ago, I mentioned I was looking for Early Readers for my upcoming titles. Selected Early Readers would be offered a title to read and comment on. No one took me up on it. I guess maybe the possibility of getting a free PDF wasn't enough of a lure. 1/2

And... It's Monday again. Though for remote workers, it can feel like you never truly log off. Burhan Kum comically captures just that in Home Office in Meanwhile... The Best. Advanced Reader Preview: spengu.in/sdf56H9l #indiecomics #comicanthology #homeoffice

I've loved the work of Michael T Gilbert since I first started reading comics. (I'm not going to do the maths, thank you.) I _had_ to get his opinion of Meanwhile... The Best. He did not disappoint me. crowdfundr.com/MeanwhileTheB… #comics #graphicanthology

So I asked @AntonyJohnston to read Meanwhile... The Best, to get his opinion. He seemed to like it. Which came as something of a relief. Can you imagine the post: "He didn't like it but you might". So this is better. crowdfundr.com/MeanwhileTheB… #comics #graphicanthology

Heliox comes to us from Elizabeth Hart Bergstrom (@lizbergstrom.writer) and Terry Eden (The Kubert School of Cartooning and Graphic Design). The imaginative artwork brings to light the warmth of the story. crowdfundr.com/MeanwhileTheB… #comics #graphicanthology

Ryze by Andy P is a short tale with a massive punch. It's the kind of story that makes you think, "What would happen if it had been me?" crowdfundr.com/MeanwhileTheB… #comics #graphicanthology

Francis Desharnais (@fdesharnais) gives us a story that starts pleasant enough but gets quickly uncomfortable. If you think about it too much, it might make you go... squirrelly. crowdfundr.com/MeanwhileTheB… #comics #comicbookart #graphicanthology #meanwhilethebest

Spectral Analysis is a fun little story by Scott Lowson and Jenny Linn-Cole. It doesn't land as hard as some of the other stories in Meanwhile... The Best. It's sort of the sorbet of the meal. And who doesn't like sorbet? crowdfundr.com/MeanwhileTheB… #comics #graphicanthology
