The Utah Jazz selected Darryn Peterson with the number 2 pick in the NBA Draft, and introduced DP to the community on Saturday afternoon.
For this week's pod, I sat down with Jazz Governor Ryan Smith and President of Basketball Opps Austin Ainge. Was a 25 minute wide ranging conversation.
Pod will be released in full on Wednesday. Here is a clip.

Utah has completely new roster. They have real size, good shooters, and defenders. The staff has constructed a very competitive roster.
Utah’s team defense will be a strength. Offensively, they maintain their spacing throughout the possession, with excellent ball movement and cutting.
Al Jensen has a tough and balanced squad. Forget last year’s record. This team will make noise in the Big 12.

Sources: No. 8 BYU’s star tailback, LJ Martin, will be out for at least a month with a lower body injury he suffered against TCU. He was the Big 12 offensive player of the year in 2025. He’ll miss four to six weeks, including the home against No. 3 Notre Dame on Oct. 17.
