BLG Knight 🇨🇳 shares what's the hardest part when playing against Western teams: "They are especially hard to predict because you never really know what their lineup will look like. Their playstyle is also very team-oriented, and they can quickly rotate to help each other out." Via @strafeapp

LOS Zest 🇰🇷 on what he likes most about this roster: "When we first joined as a new roster, our goal was to play in Tier 2. We were lucky to start in Tier 1, but we were more concerned than excited because we were such a new team. But once we started playing in Brazil, it felt like we clicked and played well together. We kept improving and made it to two international tournaments, EWC and now Worlds. I’m grateful to my teammates. This team feels like friends and family, and I’m really enjoying my time here."

MKOI Melzhet 🇪🇸 on the team's scrim results: "Every team at Worlds is interesting to scrim against. I don’t think there’s an easy opponent, especially in best-of-ones, where anything can happen. We’ve been trying to learn as much as possible about the meta, try new things, and understand how other teams might draft so we can prepare. You could say our scrim results have been bad. But, for example, we were beating G2 in scrims before the final, and they won the final 3-0. So who cares about scrim results in that sense? Against these teams, you have to adapt the way you play because they’re very aggressive in scrims. They don’t give you much space, so you have to match that aggression to compete. We’re focusing a lot on the laning phase because they’re more aggressive than my players are used to. We’re also paying even more attention to jungle tempo and camps because those teams are well coordinated. Teamfighting is another important area for us."

Caps 🇩🇰 shares the difference between G2’s approach this year and in previous years: "We’ve been scrimming for about 10 days, maybe two weeks—I’m not sure—but we definitely struggled, especially at the start. We’re used to struggling in scrims, though. We had the same experience in Europe, and I think it was very beneficial for us. Our scrims against TL, in particular, have taught us a lot. I think we’ve improved quite a bit by playing against them. Overall, we’ve changed our playstyle a lot since the LEC. It will be fun to see how we do here at Worlds. I’m still very confident—in fact, I might be more confident than if we had come here and won everything. It’s all about learning. When you pick up new concepts and get better at things day by day, that gives you confidence. In previous years, we’ve sometimes won a lot by using the same approach, which made us one-dimensional. I think we’re much more flexible now. We may not be getting the results we want in the tournament yet, but we’re learning from the process. I do think we’re already a strong team going into Worlds."

G2 Caps 🇩🇰 on playing against LCK & LPL teams: "Against LPL and LCK teams, it can be a lot of fast thinking. They play very aggressively, especially in scrims, and you have to think quickly because they’ll attack different parts of the map. If you defend well, you can win. They’re not unbeatable, but if you’re slow to think or don’t come up with the right answer, they can create a big advantage somewhere else. That’s a different game from Europe, where you can often play more slowly. You might not have to punish your opponent’s first mistake, and you can take your time to make sure all five players are on the same page before making a play. Against LPL and LCK teams, we probably need to punish them as soon as someone steps up. If all five of us aren’t ready, the window may close."
