Can we talk about something that doesn't get said enough? A small community can be incredibly meaningful. I think we're so conditioned to look at follower counts that we forget what those numbers actually represent. 100 people isn't “only 100.” That's 100 individual humans. 100 different lives. 100 people who decided that something you made was worth clicking on. And if even 10 of them regularly show up? That's 10 people choosing to spend their free time with you. Think about how insane that actually is. You could walk into a room full of strangers and say: “Hey, come hang out with me for a few hours while I play games and talk about whatever is on my mind.” And a bunch of people would probably leave 💀 But online, you've somehow found people who WANT to be there. That's worth appreciating. Of course you should want to grow. Wanting more reach doesn't make you ungrateful. Wanting to improve your numbers doesn't mean you don't appreciate your current audience. Just don't let your desire for more make you blind to what you already have. Because someday you might look back at the community you have right now and realize: “Holy shit. Those were the people who were here before everything changed.” Don't take them for granted 🩷
