Sorry for the long 🧵but I’ve had a lot of random thoughts lately. Some editors ask for submitters’ physical addresses for no reason besides that’s what’s always been done. There’s absolutely no need for that unless they want to publish you. It’s a major privacy & safety concern.

Today I'm showing some love The Mandrake Loves the Olive, my most literary short SFF. It was nominated for a Pushcart, and is inspired by Palestinian herbal folklore. It was first published in Xenocultivars: Stories of Queer Growth by @specqueer

Yay! @charliejane newsletter days are great days! If you're looking for cozy queer short stories, in addition to the Bikes in Space series, I'd recommend the collections Xenocultivars: Stories of Queer Growth and Glitter + Ashes: Queer Tales of a World That Wouldn't Die.

I especially appreciated that many of these stories are about inter-generational relationships, and seeing all the differnt ways the authors used the plant theme was a lot of fun!
