I went on @BetterStackHQ podcast and explained why the most powerful AI in your life shouldn’t feel like AI at all. If that sentence confuses you, you’ll like this episode ↓ youtu.be/46EsyQYKMjA

To everyone impacted by today’s Meta AI layoffs: The work you’ve done has shaped how all of us think about intelligence. With @spec, we're building ambient intelligence that’s human-centered, contextual, and privacy-first. If you’ve been part of what made Meta AI great and are looking for what’s next, my DMs are open!

Spec is the first step into ambient computing🌎 We’re not pretending this is easy. Platforms constantly change, trust is extremely difficult to earn, and most “AI tools” quickly fade away, as if they never existed in the first place. But once you use it, the need for something like Spec is painfully obvious: → Lives natively on your Mac, wired into iMessages, email, calendar, Slack, Granola, Notion → Actually sees the full context and conversation history of your digital life instead of one app at a time → Quietly drafts replies, moves meetings, builds prep docs, remembers important dates → Feels less like a “chatbot” and more like your co-worker who already knows what’s happening and anticipates future blockers ahead of time → Gives your time and life back, in a world where time is the most valuable asset, nothing matters more → Privacy being a top priority, Spec never takes action without your approval Use it for a week and you stop thinking of it as AI. It just feels like your computer finally grew a brain and actually has your back. Nobody’s asking for another productivity hack yelling at you with prompts. We’ve all been through that, and it gets old fast. The real win is software that fades into the background so your day feels lighter and your head finally clears. That’s the world worth building. I don’t know who ends up winning this market. My bet’s obviously on Spec 😉. But what I know for sure is that ambient computing will be the biggest consumer shift of our time. Being an ADHD survivor I still struggle with the amount of notifications, apps, emails and tasks on a daily basis. It’s part of the reason I stopped wearing a smartwatch, got tired of the constant alerts. I think these personal assistant AI companies will provide the most value to the normal every day working man to make our lives a little less hectic, at least digitally.

Your Mac just got a brain. 🧠 Spec proactively drafts replies, summarizes docs, and helps before you ask. It connects knowledge and memory across iMessage, Slack, email, and your calendar, finally making your apps work together. Goodbye silos and context switching.
