Sending lots of love to the Apple community on my last day as CEO. My title changes tomorrow, but the love I have for the Apple community never will. Thank you for being a constant source of inspiration. My gratitude is endless, and I’m excited for the next chapter!

The graphics fidelity of the Apple Vision Pro keeps surprising me. VisionOS27 introduces physical space lighting that allows me to blend virtual illumination with my real-world environment. In this demo I used the Logitech Muse to act as a virtual flashlight. ISS 3D model by NASA

I’m curious how the perspective would look

Apple is going to pilot shrinking down the Vision Pro presence in some retail stores tomorrow as it starts displaying the new Macs. Right now, most stores have two AVP tables: 1 for demos, 1 for display units. The pilot will move to one table for both demos and display models.

Apple has revealed Safari on Apple Vision Pro will soon support embedded Spatial photos and videos!
"You can create all sorts of photos into spatial photos including old historical photos. You could do this to all your old product reviews, you could to it to World War II photos, video game screenshots… I mean, what’s so cool about this technology is it gives us the ability to take things into that next dimension."
Instead of having to download and individually open each Spatial photo or video, it can now be embedded on a website and viewed with ease.
Apple explained that this will give a big boost to Vision Pro users without harming non-Spatial users:
"Once you embedded spatial content, folks who are on Vision Pro are getting spatial and folks who are just looking at it on their laptop see it in two dimensions"
The update to the WebKit framework is said to be arriving later this year.

Today I learned two things about Vision Pro's simulator:
1) Voice dictation on the system keyboard works perfectly.
2) You can drag and drop a USDZ model into the simulator as a volumetric window (thanks @drewolbrich).
