Thrilled to be a part of it
The MMX spacecraft carries two pieces of NASA hardware: The MEGANE instrument will be key to revealing the origin of Mars’s moons by measuring their elemental composition. The P-Sampler demonstration will advance capabilities for surface material acquisition in low gravity. ½

Thanks 🙏 @JK_Lundblad even though spacex launches multiple falcon 9 , SpaceX still doesn't able to reuse the second stage and it is really good to see blue origin trying to be in falcon 9 place in coming years is actually a good competition . Competition will always exist 🚀 !
While I am hopeful about Starship, we should remember that second-stage reuse is still not settled, let alone rapid refueling. Blue Origin may have concluded that mass-producing a cheap disposable upper stage and not having to deal with the payload penalty of a heat shield, header tanks, etc is worth it.

More confirmation that Jared intends for Orion to launch on other launch vehicles (likely New Glenn 9x4) for rendezvous in LEO to transfer to the Moon 👀
Replying to @MarkWhittington
There are certainly rumblings about the future of astronaut access to low Earth orbit. This often comes up in the context of commercial space stations, where having access to LEO is obviously imperative, but affordable access is really the distinction. In that respect, it doesn't matter how many certified crew vehicles you have, Dragon, Starliner, or otherwise, if the architecture inherently creates a cost barrier that limits demand. Take a look at where we are at today.. - There are five outstanding and proven SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft still under contract for missions over the next few years. - There are several Boeing Starliner crewed spacecraft that will be modified to address the design issues identified in the PIT report and ultimately certified to launch on ULA's Vulcan. We hope to launch the next uncrewed mission in the months ahead. - Lockheed's Orion, of which I saw the crew and service modules for Artemis III, IV, and V under development this past Friday at KSC. That visit in itself deserves a long-form post about how hard the NASA teams, our contractors, and partners are working to meet this moment for the nation. That amazing fact aside, we have Orion. It is a crew-certified spacecraft and will fly in LEO next year. Certainly not a vehicle optimized for LEO or affordability, but the capability is there. There is no doubt a long future ahead for Orion on a variety of launch vehicles and paired w/ transfer stages. - Both SpaceX and Blue Origin are developing landers to return astronauts to the lunar surface, not to mention affordably delivering mass to the Moon in support of the Moon Base. These programs also have a path to support future crewed LEO needs, be that inherent in their existing plans or paired with other spacecraft. - Other companies, including Blue Origin, have made public comments about internally funding the development of additional crew vehicles. If there is really considerable demand for even more astronaut access to LEO and beyond, then private companies should be able to build the business case and raise the capital. NASA will always be willing to provide subject matter expertise and test facility support for these types of company-funded efforts. And if the capability is there at a lower cost, it is hard to imagine we wouldn't become a customer. In short, there has never been a time when the United States had so many crew-certified spacecraft options available, with others in development, and so much investment moving in the direction of lower costs to make missions to Earth orbit, the Moon, and beyond more routine. I would just caution folks against jumping right to NASA funding the business case for every good idea--like why not one more crewed spacecraft. The more NASA gets spread out trying to make everyone happy, the fewer exciting moments we will have like Artemis II and Roman, the fewer X-planes we will put in the sky, and the fewer astronauts we can afford to fly frequently to Earth orbit. The longer programs, like America's long overdue return to the Moon, take to achieve. We need to stay focused on delivering on the national space policy as quickly, safely and affordably as possible.

Spent some time at @NASAKennedy this past Friday. Really impressed with the progress under @brianhughes and the @NASAArtemis and EGS leadership. By nearly every measure, the team has found efficiencies and improved the stacking process, cutting the schedule by 50%. The machine shops are running around the clock, not just at KSC, but across all the Centers. The rebuilding of core competencies are making NASA builders again and ensuring we have the engineers, technicians, and operators capable of doing the work. I also toured the pad rebuild work at @blueorigin. @JeffBezos and @davill have done an outstanding leading and motivating the workforce. The Blue team has a fire in them like we have never seen before. They are making believers out of many that once doubted the timelines. In all cases, be that in the VAB, helping our partners out at the pad, or working on the landers, suits, and rovers, @NASA is energized. We have our SME's embedded throughout the supply chain, and doing the work to ensure the outcomes you have been patiently waiting for will soon be safely achieved.
#ICYMI: The booster's for NASA's Artemis III mission are officially stacked! Next up, the SLS core stage will be integrated with the boosters, completing the rocket’s “short stack” configuration that will be used during a future tanking test. Learn more: go.nasa.gov/4BcsSLa

From an interview with Dave Limp a few days ago: Still targeting end of 2026 for New Glenn return to flight. Over time they will figure out how to reuse the second stage and the fairings. Blue Origin is radically vertically integrating the components they use - such as material science and their foundry. They want to reduce the cost of access to space so we can move the poluting industry to space. Moving data centers is an example because they have their own solar power instead of using the grid which uses poluting energy sources. youtube.com/watch?v=nh3iq6mm…

MORE ON BLUE ORIGIN: New details on the company’s multibillion-dollar New Glenn expansion in Florida: • $330 million factory expansion targeting production capacity of 150 upper stages annually by summer 2027. • Seeking authorization to increase annual launches from 12 to 50, an intermediate step toward its ambition of 100+ launches per year. • Expanding payload processing infrastructure with four integration bays and two encapsulation bays. • Developing infrastructure for New Glenn’s larger 9×4 configuration. Blue Origin now employs more than 5,000 people in Florida, works with over 500 suppliers, and operates across more than 20 sites in the state. The broader objective is to establish the manufacturing and launch infrastructure needed to support multiple New Glenn missions per week by the end of the decade. 🇺🇸
BREAKING: Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin has announced a major expansion of its New Glenn rocket program, targeting more than 100 launches annually as it scales up to compete with SpaceX. The company is adding two launch pads at Cape Canaveral, building a manufacturing facility capable of producing up to 150 rocket upper stages per year, and procuring two additional ships to recover reusable boosters. Blue Origin is also developing a new four-bay satellite integration facility with the U.S. Space Force, allowing multiple government and commercial missions to be prepared simultaneously. The infrastructure is designed to support multiple New Glenn launches per week by the end of the decade, a significant expansion of U.S. heavy-lift launch capacity. Blue Origin has already invested approximately $3 billion in its Florida operations. New Glenn remains grounded following a May 2026 accident, with the company working toward returning the rocket to flight.

Blue Origin and the Operations Team are committed to growing and strengthening our operational capabilities to meet the rapidly increasing demand for launch services and more. I couldn’t be more proud of the investments we’re making here in Florida and across the country to support the space industry’s growth and deliver on our customers’ evolving needs. At the end of the day, we’re a customer‑obsessed company, and our infrastructure roadmap is built to ensure we continue to live up to that mission.
"Launching at a high cadence requires a connected system - one that manufactures vehicles at scale, prepares customer payloads efficiently, supports reliable launch operations, and quickly returns reusable boosters to service. We are building that system here in Florida." Read more from our Senior Vice President of Operations Ian Richardson. bit.ly/4hRC0xe
