Legendary to see Bark & Cashu independently seize Payjoin as settlement infrastructure. This gives the Payjoin primitive a whole new identity as the go-to tool for Transaction Cut-Through.
1/ Payjoin boards have been available in Bark for a couple of weeks now, so we thought it was time to take a closer look at what they can do: boarding direct from external wallet apps, saving the user fees and time, and the same trick applied to on-ramping into Cashu mints.

There seems to be a misunderstanding here. The message is not that you can't fork off. The community is telling you: * It's disinterested in your fork. * You can't have the Bitcoin brand. * It would have been appreciated if you weren't trying to make such a mess. Godspeed!

I have spent over $10,000 scanning 100+ bitcoin ecosystem related libraries looking for vulnerabilities with Kimi K3 running as quarterback. Myself and a small "Red Team" have found multiple serious vulnerabilities impacting the ecosystem. They vary in scope severity, but this is a call to action. For any critical tier vulnerability that was identified if I was able to immediately demonstrate a POC (proof of concept), I have already responsibly disclosed to the maintainers. HERE IS HOW YOU CAN HELP ME IF YOU ARE NOT TECHNICAL: - please share with me any repository that is on github that I can scan, we want to cast a wide net. It takes a few moments for you to link github accounts, we'll take it from there - if that project does not have a SECURITY.md make an issue asking the dev to list one IF YOU ARE TECHNICAL: - If you are a maintainer or contributor to a project, I may have already scanned your repo, hit me up I'll share the results, if not I'll add your project to the list. - If I can trust you to do larger review to start looking through this stuff to give me more eyes let me know. AI Has forever changed software development. Tomorrow marks 1 week of Kimi k3 being live in open weights. We are going to accelerate.

Seven weeks ago I pointed Opus 4.8 at the @COLDCARDwallet firmware and told it to find bugs that lose people money. The second bullet of my prompt: Weak RNG source.

Really, the most embarrassing part for the ecosystem is how quickly some developers found the bug after the attacker’s first transactions appeared. We made “Don’t trust, verify” our favorite meme, yet we collectively assumed someone else had already done the verifying. Five years and no one noticed it.
I was thinking about this long before today’s incident. I even messaged @niftynei when she was organizing the Villains edition of btcpp. Today’s incident only reinforced my view: Bitcoiners trust far more than we like to admit. Bitcoiners often overestimate how much scrutiny critical software actually receives. Open source doesn’t automatically mean heavily audited. Popular doesn’t automatically mean well reviewed. Reputation isn’t a substitute for review.

Unless @Apple's decision to terminate @craigraw's Apple Developer account is reversed by June 30, all new installs of Sparrow will fail, and development on macOS will end. If you value Sparrow, a repost would help. @AppleSupport
My attempt to protect users from scam apps on the @AppStore has gotten my Apple Developer account flagged for termination - ironically, for "dishonest activity". Unless it's reversed by June 30, all new installs of Sparrow Wallet will fail, and development on macOS will end. The context: since 2023, more than a dozen fake "Sparrow" apps have appeared on the App Store, as recently as April this year. Users have contacted me after losing their savings, in some cases their life savings, to these impersonators. I'm the developer of the real Sparrow Wallet, a desktop app, and I hold the registered US trademarks for the name and logo. I have publicly warned @Apple and the community about these fake apps from early 2024, but they keep appearing. The app @Apple flagged was a placeholder that was never published. Its only purpose was to warn users that Sparrow is desktop-only and that other "Sparrow" apps aren't mine. This approach may have been misguided, but there was nothing dishonest about it. I'm confident this is an automated misclassification that Apple would reverse on review - but I may be terminated before a human ever looks at my appeal. The cost would fall on @Apple's own users: blocked installs and no updates for a tool people rely on, which opens the door for more fakes. If you value Sparrow, a repost would help. @AppleSupport

1/ Project Eleven just awarded 1 BTC for "the largest quantum attack on ECC to date", a 17-bit elliptic curve key recovered on IBM Quantum hardware. I replaced the quantum computer with /dev/urandom. It still recovers the key.

How can wallet fingerprints be used to damage Payjoin privacy? @Arminsdev spent a week in a darkly lit room to study this class of attacks against real-world Payjoins.

This would be a massive boon for on-chain privacy. Making every lightning channel re-balance transaction a PayJoin transaction would begin to erode the efficacy of common input ownership heuristics used by chain surveillance companies.
Excited that PayJoin is working towards integrating into lightning opens & splices. Would be awesome if we got that! Wanted to clear up my earlier tweet about this (attached). It is something they're going to do. Lots of complex issues to solve to get there but lets go!
