Saw this vessel called Frote transporting one of @elonmusk Starships off our coast yesterday!
It was contracted by SpaceX to recover and transport the intact 52-meter-long Starship upper stage.
Was truly a magnificent thing to see 🚀🚀🚀🚀🫡😎
The next GS2 is loaded up and now preparing to head to @NASAStennis for vehicle hotfire testing, the first of our second stages to be tested at the historic B-2 stand. Proud to test at Stennis, where Mississippi has powered American spaceflight for decades. The Blue team and our @NASA partners have been hard at work preparing the stand for testing.

Starship has now been loaded onto a semi-submersible ship to begin the several month journey back to Starbase. Congratulations to the entire SpaceX Recovery team for battling through challenging conditions to give our engineers access to a wealth of data to continue rapidly developing Starship

Aww yea! Chatting with Chris Bray here, and would you look at this. SpaceX's Ship 40 is about to be loaded on board FORTE. Wow, it looks so small! 🤯
Make sure you follow Chris here because it has been a fun day so far. More to come. 🫶

This morning’s @SpaceX mission from pad 40 was the last planned Falcon 9 Starlink launch from Florida (and it launched on the fleet leading booster!!), marking the end of an era for these launches on the East Coast. From here on, Starlink missions out of Florida will fly on Starship. The West Coast team will continue regularly launching Starlink from Vandenberg.
Super proud of this incredible team. You’ve made Falcon 9 the most reliable launch vehicle in history. You also helped build the largest low-Earth orbit satellite constellation providing connectivity to millions around the world, and you’ve set the foundation for what’s next.
In the last seven years, Falcon has flown ~260 Starlink missions from the Cape… can’t wait until we launch that and many more with Starship!

ANOTHER DECADE FOR RUSTY’S AT THE COVE: Port Canaveral is thrilled that Rusty’s Seafood & Oyster Bar – a mainstay at The Cove for nearly three decades – has extended their lease agreement for another 10 years, allowing residents and visitors alike to enjoy their tasty menu offerings, refreshing beverages and waterfront views for years to come!
After approx. 24 days at sea, the SpaceX Recovery team successfully guided Starship to a location just off the coast of Christmas Island. A team of SpaceX engineers is on their way to conduct additional analysis on the vehicle in calmer waters before attempting to return it to Starbase

Holy $#*! Well my friends, I've managed to get in touch with brilliant international wildlife photographer Chris Bray on Christmas Island and he just grabbed some shots of Ship 40 for us! Take a look at this!🤯
Lot's more to come so follow him from the link. 👇
The SpaceX Recovery team is still working to recover Flight 13’s Starship from the Indian Ocean. They’ve been overcoming challenging conditions and increasingly rough seas as they attempt to guide the 52m long spacecraft to port

Normand Ranger has changed its navigational status to "Restricted Manoeuvrability".
This indicates that she is probably affixed to Ship 40, but her speed is not sufficient to overcome the current and set.
She is probably stabilizing the Starship while they continue to prepare it for the tow to Dampier.
She is currently 852 nautical miles from Dampier and at 3 knots, it will take nearly 12 days.

🫡 to Booster 1069
We refer to 1069 as the OG tippy rocket. It lived a long and fruitful life after it came about as close as you can get to being lost on its first mission. On that mission, CRS-24, it landed in rough seas and immediately had severe uneven leg loads, causing it to “tip.” We spent the next two hours watching the rocket on camera literally dance from side to side on the droneship. Through the incredible skill of our @SpaceX recovery team and a decent amount of luck, we were able to pin the rocket against the droneship tow board and blast wall with the octagrabber jammed under the engines. Somehow, against all odds, the team got 1069 home. We replaced all nine engines that were damaged in the process… and then it flew another 31 successful missions!!! 🚀
Never. Give. Up.
