Have you met *Dr.* Di Nguyen? Di successfully defended her dissertation this afternoon. In addition to her excellent research, Di has been a superstar teacher and a thoughtful leader. Congratulations, @DiHNguyen! @ClemsonIE @ClemsonCECAS @songmath
Thanks everyone for making #IOS2022 a success!! #IOS2020 was the one of the first conferences got cancelled due to Covid. Hope #IOS2022 have brought the great memories of in-person conference back to life! Special thanks to @j_cole_smith @EmilyLTucker @BoshiYang and Lance Ouyang!
Ready to go #IOS2022! Weather forecast says it’ll be a little chilly on Sunday morning, but hopefully it will warm back up during the day!
Looking forward to playing with this Jupyter notebook on the Adaptive Partition Method for SP. Thank you @borelian for making APM so easily accessible to our SP community!
LandS (@JeffLinderoth et al, 2006) has been a classical benchmark instance on Stochastic Programming. We now know its *exact* optimal value: 225.6294001. Take a look at github.com/borelian/LandS_ex… for a simple and instructive Jupyter notebook explaining how to use APM to prove this.
Full conference program of #IOS2022 is now available: easychair.org/smart-program/… Look forward to seeing lots of colleagues and friends next month in Greenville SC!
Excited to share the new work with Dr. @murwan_siddig! Please also see a Github repository for code and data: tinyurl.com/2p8vc3mm

Hope to see you at #IOS2022 in Greenville SC! New submission deadline: Jan. 31. Picture was taken on Christmas Eve, in March it will be even more gorgeous!
The @InformsOS Opt Soc conference in G'ville, SC, 3/13-3/15 is still a go, fully in-person. With the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, we know you may need more time to decide if you can travel. Thus, we're extending the IOS2022 submission deadline until Jan 31. Hope you can join us!
Excited to start this new interdisciplinary research project on disaster-relief housing design and logistics operations! Really grateful for the support of @NSF on the integration of physical resilience, system resilience, and operational resilience on disaster relief & recovery
Dr Yongjia Song and co-PIs were awarded a $400,000 NSF grant, Song’s second NSF grant this year, following recent CAREER award.
The grant was for “An Integrated Housing Design and Logistics Operations Modeling and Analysis Framework for Hurricane Relief”
Congratulations to @murwan_siddig for his first journal paper out of his PhD dissertation in @ClemsonIE, published in Computational Optimization and Applications: rdcu.be/cALwa. Enjoy this looooong paper and more to come!
