Okay, I'm breaking character here. This is not a satire post. My 2-year-old son is in a wheelchair that we can't fit into our car. We are not eligible to apply for a wheelchair accessible vehicle until he is three--and even then we would have to pay about £13,000 towards it (which we don't have).
The idea that disabled people get given free cars willy-nilly is bullshit. My son has to attend regular appointments at various locations. He has a team of specialists dedicated to helping him with an extremely rare neurological condition that means he needs around the clock supervision.
He can't even hold his own head up so a regular car seat is out of the question. He was using a baby seat, but he's outgrown that. It's really tough for us to get around because misinformation from pricks like Nigel influences public opinion. Does this seem right?

RNLI is a good barometer to show that brit culture and politics has actually gotten very right wing and it isnt just 'common sense' politics fuelling this.
The RNLI are doing the job they have always done, like picking up enemy airmen in WW2. Its the right that has changed

Congratulations South Africa Legal Team. What a gift to humanity you are.
South Africa has officially submitted a substantial dossier to the International Court of Justice (ICJ), detailing Israel’s continued non-compliance with legally binding provisional measures.
The submission, formally handed over on 25 August 2026, serves to assist an ICJ committee of judges tasked with monitoring the implementation of the court’s orders in Gaza.
According to the Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO), Israel’s non-compliance directly undermines the protective functions of international justice.
Hence, the submission is a vital milestone in the struggle for global accountability. By formally documenting Israel’s refusal to adhere to the court’s binding provisional measures, Pretoria is doing far more than advocating for Palestinian survival.

The reason they’re going after ADHD is because it’s disability they have the best chance of discrediting in public opinion. We’re being used as a wedge and the end goal is attacking all disabled people

I remember people on this website telling me it wasn’t true that this crank zillionaire was funding basically unlimited vexatious litigation

There's actually fairly strong evidence that terfism is a social contagion starting in the British newspaper class and spreading outwards.

🧵Today, on the one-year anniversary of settlers beating 20-year-old Palestinian American Sayfollah Musallet to death in his own olive fields, I accompanied his father, Kamel, to visit his grave and then to try to reach the spot where he was killed. We were attacked by settlers…

Imagine being told the wait for an NHS autism/ADHD assessment is 4 years.
So you empty your savings to go private because you can't put your life on hold.
Then you're told the NHS won't prescribe because the diagnosis wasn't theirs.
People are forced to go private, then punished for it.
That's not a healthcare system. That's a trap.

I’m British. I want this.
I find out reneging on the very basic building blocks of post-World War 2 internationalism deeply troubling and profoundly shameful.

Andy Burnham is going to keep Reeves’ fiscal rules, he supports Mahmood’s strict immigration reforms, he won’t deliver proportional representation, and his government will continue to erode trans rights.
Nothing will meaningfully change, just the optics. Starmer 2.0.
🚨BREAKING | Burnham has abandoned his support for trans rights in his latest u-turn, backing EHRC guidance and the 2025 Supreme Court ruling.
At a campaign launch, he said: "The time has come to take the Supreme Court ruling and the guidance and implement it"

“The Greens don’t understand the economy” — it’s remarkable how completely neoliberalism captured “common sense.” Inequality and wage suppression have gutted the British economy, and people still log on to defend poverty wages and elite wealth extraction as if this model “works”
