12 years on from Vettel winning in a Toro Rosso in what was my favourite sporting moment of all time and made me fall in love with the sport, Pierre Gasly does it for the same team, at the same track, from fucking nowhere I'm not sure it tops '08, but it's damn close #ItalianGP – at Roscommon, Ireland

Build decent transport networks around the country and it would solve most of this problem
David McWilliams: Mass dereliction and vacancy blights almost all Irish market towns. You’ve seen it for yourself: once bustling commercial centres are lifeless, hollowed out by dilapidation and urban neglect. The future of shops is not the main street, but that doesn’t mean the main street has no future, it just has one that looks different. irishtimes.com/opinion/2026/…

Meanwhile, in Ireland
The noone wants to live near a datacenter argument doesn't make any sense because noone lives near them and none of the people saying this on here do either

I genuinely believe you are less intelligent than average if you believe things like this

Am I just extremely autistic or is a train not just objectively the most comfortable form of public transport? I can bring whatever the fuck I want on for free and travel across entire countries for less than the cost of a checked bag on a Ryanair flight
We have this thing called planes. With more hubs and destinations. And they go faster than 220mph

I suspect this is to congratulate @DubCityCouncil on cleaning up the streets around Connolly station and Busáras for the first time in 40 years
An Taoiseach Micheál Martin will now appear on tonight’s #LateLate Show. He will discuss today's security alerts at various media organisations, as well as preparations ahead of the European Political Community (EPC) summit and EU meetings, which are to be held in Dublin next week.

On Today's episode of "Economists are just propagandists" Dan here has said something so unbelievably stupid I don't even know how to take the piss
There is no cost of living crisis. Today's column takes a deep dive into the inflation numbers, comparing 2026 with 2022, when there really was a cost of living crisis. Food inflation 11% Oct 2022 0% Oct 2026 Energy inflation 73% Oct 2022 18% Oct 2026 Overall consumer price inflation 9.4% Oct 2022 4% Oct 2026 Link in replies

You people tweeting things like this the second something happens is exactly why no one believes you.
Bomb threats, disrupted flights and cyberattacks hitting food supplies should sharpen minds ahead of EU meetings in Ireland. Hybrid warfare thrives on fear and disruption. We must get serious about defending our citizens. Waiting to be hit again is not a strategy.

It's absolutely terrifying how easy it is to get people to vote for living in a panopticon

I cannot wait until they do nothing with any of this
Democrats won enough trifectas last night to theoretically obtain an absolute majority of the electoral college for the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact, and they certainly have Congressional majorities large enough to authorize such a compact. The only question is whether it would survive a court challenge. If they win the Presidency in 2028 and stack the Supreme Court as many Dems have threatened to do the moment they have the votes, there’s a chance that we will never again have Presidential elections in America decided by the Electoral College. I do not think people fully understand yet that Democrats won enough elections last night to permanently change this country in a way that may make things impossible to ever undo. Political parties operate off incentives. Their goal is to win elections, not permanently pander to a specific demographic constituency. While they can spend years or even decades in the wilderness, eventually, someone will look at the median voter and determine that he too can win an election by pandering to everyone to the Left or Right of that individual. So what happens when one side of the equation permanently changes the rules so that the median voter shifts from someone living in Ohio to say someone living in Virginia? The Beautiful Losers may not immediately return to power tomorrow, but make no mistake they are quietly waiting in the wings, hoping that Democrats change the rules of the American electoral process in order to permanently enshrine them as the natural controlled opposition.

People worried about the US dropping a nuke on Iran have always been worried about entirely the wrong country and anyone that isn't an idiot should probably have seen that by now If a nuke is dropped, it will be Israel.
