What has me most excited 🔥
As we map where each offender lived and when, we can responsibly compare that against open cases on STC: missing persons, unsolved murders, unidentified persons.
Where was he living in 1991? What was he driving? Who went missing nearby?
One rule we never bend: a charge is an accusation, not proof of guilt. Every record is cited, archived and correctable from the page.
It’s time to use open-source information responsibly to bring answers to families. ❤️

Real example: convicted offender Nicholas Carney. Decades, 5 states, photos from the 1970s to his 2024 booking, the vehicles he used, all in one sourced page.
Putting it in the open has already helped bring in new tips and possible victims. 🙏

🚨 Launching today: Known Offenders on Solve the Case.
For too long, the history of a convicted offender has lived behind closed doors. Investigators trade notes. The public gets a name and a mugshot.
We can do better. 💪 🧵
🔎 Our National Cold Case Month initiative: A tip is coming in. Nobody is there to read it.

“You have to wait 72 hours.”
Imagine hearing that when someone you love is missing.
A recent popular Texas ranch drama repeated this myth in an episode this season when a wife went to the sheriff to report her husband missing. A fictional scene can leave viewers with a real (and dangerous) misunderstanding.
You do not have to wait 48 or 72 hours to report someone missing.
If someone is missing and you’re concerned for their safety, contact law enforcement promptly. Share their last known location, a recent photo, and any medical needs or concerning circumstances. If there is immediate danger, call 911.
If you’re told to wait, calmly say: “I’m concerned for their safety and want to make a missing person report now. Please take the report.” If necessary, ask to speak with a supervisor. Request a report or reference number.
At Solve the Case, we want every family to know they can speak up and request a report without delay.
Share this post. Someone you love may need this information one day.

🚨 WANTED FOR MURDER – Nearly 29 Years on the Run 🚨
On May 16, 1997, 38-year-old Sugie Vasquez was murdered in Orange, Texas. Authorities allege her husband of 21 years, Rogelio Guerra Vasquez, beat and stabbed her to death before dumping her body in a pond. He disappeared before he could be brought to justice and has remained a fugitive ever since.
Today, Sugie’s family is still waiting for answers and accountability.
The FBI is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Rogelio Guerra Vasquez. Investigators believe he may have ties to or be living near Monterrey, Mexico. He should be considered armed and dangerous.
Someone knows where he is.
Please take a moment to review the case details, photos, and age-progressed images. Even the smallest tip could help finally bring justice to Sugie and peace to the family she left behind.
