New @ChildrensComm report reveals that 92% of child domestic abuse victims receive no advocacy support.
The DA Act recognises children as victims in their own right, but dedicated services for them are few & far between.
Support for children must be secured in the Victims Bill.
Thousands of child victims of domestic & sexual abuse are navigating complex justice processes alone - this must change. As the Victims & Prisoners Bill progresses @UKHouseofLords, victims' experiences must be heard & advocacy made an automatic right: childrenscommissioner.gov.uk…

#childhoodmatters but this is the bleak reality for many children and children's services. Children and their families deserve better.

This is deeply troubling.
Domestic abuse is a devastating, widespread crime. Separation is known to be a very high risk time.
The police - and every agency around the victim - must be equipped to respond quickly & safely.
My thoughts are with the victims of this awful attack.

Half of victims I surveyed said they wanted support for the abuser to change. Yet just 7% received it.
Good to speak to @sallynugent @BBCBreakfast this morning about the need for sustainable funding for domestic abuse services, including accredited perpetrator interventions.
