Just got done with "Octal Games: Old and New" by Mike Fisher! Really cool stuff — interesting connections to the Fibonacci sequence, continued fractions, and turning irrational numbers into games!

Kyle Burke's "CGT Crash Course" was really cool. I might have to borrow some of these explanations when I'm teaching CGT to a new group of students. Learned a new game too — Arc Kayles!

Next is "Why does Base 2 appear in the solution to NIM?" by Vivaan Daga. I often play Nim with students, and this was a great explanation of why base 2 and the XOR operation is so important!

First up is "Red-Blue Hackenbush and the Construction of Real Numbers" by Pritika Raj. One of the most important games in CGT history since you can construct not only real but surreal numbers!

How about this? Came up with this “inverted radical” notation for logarithms back when I taught high school, and one student who couldn’t wrap their head around the usual notation really took to it. It kinda looks like an L (like how the radical kinda looks like an r).

Exactly! Intuitively, the dot product is a good way to measure if two things are point in the same direction (positive), opposite directions (negative), or perpendicular. So based on your description, I'd say the attack would be blocked if the dot product came out negative.

Never remember which part goes where when you're multiplying matrices? Try Falk's Scheme! It's a visual way of arranging the matrices so that everything naturally falls into place. And if the product isn't defined, you'll notice immediately that the matrices don't line up!
