People call pumpfun “a casino.” That’s actually too generous. A regulated casino has licenses, audits, responsible-gambling rules, game approval, payout requirements and regulatory oversight.
Pumpfun lets anyone launch tokens/scams, earns fees from trading activity, yet shifts the risk to users. Funnels revenue buybacks into their own token insiders already control + giving their influencers all the rewards instead their users. The question isn't whether users can win. It's who consistently gets paid regardless of who loses.

Despite operating in a far more lightly regulated and massively scalable environment, pumpfun is still tiny compared with major gambling companies:

So the question isn't: “Is pumpfun a casino?”

If they can improve trust, deliver real value to users, and build a more sustainable ecosystem, the upside could be massive. The potential is there. The question is whether they build a lasting business or just extract as much as possible while they can.
A system that keeps taking from the people who make it successful, without giving enough back, is eventually undermining its own future.
Whether it’s a government extracting too much from its citizens or pumpfun extracting value from its users, the principle is the same: short-term extraction can come at the expense of long-term growth.
The people who generate the revenue should be part of the success. Reward them, give them a reason to stay, and empower them to bring others into the ecosystem.

The irony is that giving users a meaningful share of the value they create could generate more revenue in the long run than trying to extract as much as possible today.
