In this space, we always seem to revisit the same topics every few months. Of course, marketing is important. Marketing equals attention, and it matters in every aspect of this information-saturated world and it always has. However, some of you don’t seem to understand what marketing could look like without confining yourself to being someone else. Marketing, in this sense, is about creating a narrative around your product (art in this case). This narrative can be genuine, smooth, fake or aggressive etc. Most importantly, it has to be a narrative that people care about. Marketing / narratives don’t need to involve telling fake stories or lies to put your art in a better light. While this is one strategy we often see and your antipathy toward it is understandable, don't use this as an excuse to say you can’t market your art. Web3 is an opportunity for learning. If you don’t learn something new every week, then you are wasting this opportunity. Learn how to create a narrative around your art, get yourself representation or keep doing it as a hobby without much expectations.
