I heard someone say “I don’t feel like myself lately, I must be growing” what a beautiful perspective for uncomfortable seasons.
It's so strange that socially we still have rituals and recognize the severity of grieving a death. But if someone has a break up, they are told to "just get over it already. "

There might be no greater sign that humans are naturally monogamous or life long pair bonders than how badly men AND women are distressed (often destoyed) by breakups/divorces
The human race only exists as a net of relationships between each person and other people, living and dead. Cutting off any relationship is a kind of wound to the human race as a whole, and we have been much too flippant about doing that for the past few centuries.
One thing I find so unconscionably awful is the normie idea of a "break-up." I can't imagine spending years loving a person and then saying "yeah, just pretend I never existed." If suicide is murdering the future, then a break-up is killing your past. It's a totally inhuman act.
