To put that in perspective:
•That’s enough to finance a 750 GW solar farm—about a third of the world’s installed capacity—which would generate over 40% of Iran’s total energy needs.
•Even more striking: $1T could build 500 fully integrated solar factories, each producing 10 GW of panels per year from raw silicon to finished modules.
That’s 5 TW of solar output per year—enough to cover all of Iran’s current energy consumption in just 5 months.
As of 2023, Iran’s sole operational nuclear power facility, the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant, generated ~ 6.6 terawatt-hours (TWh) of electricity. This output constituted less than 1% of the country’s total energy consumption.
