Been working on a custom tool for pixel art normal map and luminance mask generation/editing.
Thinking of releasing it for free under an open-source license.
Would any gamedevs be interested in this?

A WIP animation and look development test for Hati - Asja's wolf companion.
Animated brilliantly by our Animation Director @toni_buenavida bringing a lot of subtle character into the performance. (1/5)
But when it matters most, his instincts take over. He protects Asja without hesitation, and together they become an effective hunting pair. (4/5)
Solace is an independent animated tale exploring grief, animal companionship, and the world between life and death.

Early painterly animation test for Asja - brilliantly animated by @toni_buenavida This test combines animation, look development, and shading exploration for Solace, our indie animated project. It's still very much WIP, but I'm excited where this style takes us!

Welcome to Solace💙
An animated tale about grief, love, and the bond between a girl and her wolf companion.
A handcrafted film, built by a small team of artists and friends.
This is where we’ll share the journey behind the scenes. 🐺

I loved painting this piece. It captures so many of the things that made Solace exciting for me - Asja driven by this desperate need to get Hati - her wolf companion -back, and an ancient sigil opening the door to the dark, primordial magic... (1/3)
I also really wanted to push the more visceral, mysterious side of the film here. It was painted using assets directly from our production, so it’s very close to what you’ll actually see in the film. (2/3)

This is Solace, a silent animated tale about a girl and her wolf, and what happens when she has to face losing him.
We’ve been building it independently, bringing together artists and friends to create a handcrafted story about grief, love, and letting go 🐺
