20 years ago today I started as an intern for @IowaNRCS! I had no idea back then that an internship would turn into a career I am passionate about, that Iowa would become home to me, and that I would make amazing lifelong friendships. Glad they took a chance on this Illini girl.

Best part of my day today. Producer calls me spitting mad about a letter he got in the mail. Fully prepared to rip me aapart. By the end of the conversation he is telling me the best places to grab lunch when I'm out in the fields this spring. #killemwithkindness

My son got to pick out a free book at the school library for a Christmas present. He picked this one and gave it to me. He said "I know you like resources and stuff." Even my 9 year old understands how dorky his mom is.
