adopt-tapir.softwaremill.com now uses the latest&greatest #Scala 3.8.1

An update of Sandcat: a dev container setup for securely running AI agents in `--dangerous` mode
* no forwarding of SSH/GPG agents into the container
* restricted VS Code settings to lockdown the environment
* Claude Code-specific mounts so that your `~/CLAUDE.md` is there, along with agents & commands
* "public" envs next to "secret" envs which are substituted, plus git config on startup

Thanks to Robert Pudlik, sttp-ai now has an agentic loop implementation: provide the tools (which might be as simple as a #Scala function), and let the agent do the job!
Integrates with #OpenAI (& compatible LLMs), as well as Claude.

Doing some benchmarks for Ox, using the excellent Kyo benchmark arena, which already has the code for Kyo, cats-effect and ZIO.
I've added Ox & Pekko to a couple of benchmarks - the results are varied. Ox holds well in streaming, in other areas the benchmarks often really test the JVM & virtual threads.
This is fine of course: it's good to know the overall performance of a chosen approach. That said, some benchmarks have excellent results, some - not so much.
More on my upcoming @scaladays talk :)

Destiny! ;)

The business-IT disconnect hurts organizations with misunderstandings, slow delivery & added complexity.
In our latest article, @mostruszka shares how to bridge this gap:
Shared language
Common goals
Clear boundaries
Big picture understanding

#IT depts seen as being disconnected from the “real business,” labeled as ineffective “cost centers” within companies? Or engineering teams viewing business people merely as a “source of requirements”? I wrote a piece on that on @softwaremill blog softwaremill.com/bridging-th…
