I just found an interesting Go repository: github.com/nikolaydubina/go-β¦
If you are learning Go, spend some time here after the syntax tutorials. Learning how to check test coverage, compare benchmark results, and find bugs is also part of learning how to use Go.
How Goβs Swiss Table map works and how it compares with the previous implementation.

The goroutine leak detector will become generally available in Go 1.27.
But did you know you can also use synctest (Go 1.25+) to catch goroutine leaks in tests?
See how the two approaches compare:

noCopy is an interesting zero-byte field used in almost every sync struct.
But you can still copy the sync struct, it doesn't stop the compiler, it doesn't stop your program from running.
So what does it actually do? Here :) func25.dev/posts/go-sync-nocβ¦

I feel bad for the next generation of software producers that will have started their journey after a time when one could produce software without a requiring subscription and or token fees. Ah yes itβs true, coding used to be something you do for free. What a privilege that was

And, of course, it's still free to read on my website:

With interactive examples!

Over the past two years, I've published interactive tours for five Go releases, from 1.22 to 1.26.
I know some of you have read them, and I've received a lot of kind words from you (even some core Go team members reached out) β thank you so much for that!
Unfortunately, at some point, writing these tours stopped being fun and started to feel like a part-time job. I'm not really excited about that, so I've decided to stop.
I still like Go (well, most of it). I read a lot of Go code, I write some Go code, and I write Solod code, which is also Go π (Solod is a systems language with Go syntax and a Go-like stdlib).
I'm still pretty close to the language and will probably continue to write about it.
But the interactive tours story is over.
Finding pockets of humanity that still exist in tech bring me joy. This html energy is very #htmx 2026.html.energy/

Creator of Sqlite on pull requests: "You say, oh, it's free. No. It's not free. What you're doing is asking me ... to maintain it for you, to to document it for you, to test it for you, to maintain it for you for the next 25 years. That's not free." Yep.
Wise words from a wiser man than me. I've told people for the past decade and I have recent posts on here saying the same: the merge button is the easy part. Its the decade+ (Richard says 25 years) that follows where you've accepted the transfer of maintenance thats hard.
