just setting up my new laptop and rebuilding my plug-ins so they are the same as my old computer and it’s crazy that’s still easier for me to (even though I own the plug-in)to download install the crack and go through all the shit you have to do to deactivate and reactivate et cetera

Thanks! I got a preview of you you new video. Loved it ❤️
This is getting high level implementation into my artist development lectures
I’ll post more about this tomorrow, but I’ve put a crazy amount of music information on everysong.site ‘s API. Strongly recommend taking a look if you are building around music data.
The beautiful thing about this project is that everyone is a participant and collaborator. The visuals, music and experience are built from your memories and experiences.
We are making this together x
So much work goes into developing something like this. Its been six years of work leading to this point. Its the SCENES project, songs, R&D... everyone involved.
From you the listeners, the event team, @cxy for executive producing the project and helping bring it into existence, and @roundpotatocat for being my cheerleader since day one, Nica Albertson for performing
It takes an incredible amount of hard work and creative energy. Moments like this, when it all feels worth it, are when you need to take a moment to enjoy it.
Together we created a collage of music memories using the Instax FujiFilm printers. I loved bringing something physical into the room that we could all contribute to, seeing people take photos home and add them to the boards.
It was so cool to meet so many people. Honestly, this is the most amazing part of the night for me.
From fans who travelled from Brighton, people who read my Substack but dont follow on socials, someone who found an Instagram post two hours before, to people attending for their third time!
Writers, psychologists, musicians, dancers, community builders, researchers, music lovers… from all over. It was beautiful. So a big thanks to you all!
The space, the music, the activities, the visuals, its all a collaboration and a conversation. Not in a floofy Im a deep artist way, but literally the people in the room contribute the stories that Alone Together is made from.
This edition was held at FUJIFILM House of Photography as part of their Lates series. The photos on the walls, and the connection between memory and nostalgia, meshed really well with how Alone Together designs space for connection.
Wow, last week was mental. I managed to make it to both Beyond the Music and Future is Sound conferences, but they both inevitably took a back seat to Alone Together... and I came out of the week feeling more conviction than ever for what we have been working on.

Every DJ hates rekordbox - its bloated and buggy, most of the times it won't even launch for me. someone built a slimmer and fully compatible alternative with a much more solid beat analysis. it opens in a second and its free. definitely trying it!

I always way up too early the day of a show… but waking up sunrise and to a sell out is a great way to start the day ❤️
Something that's been a thing for too long: Artists are on the ground doing the work, the experimenting, finding what's original and what connects.
maybe let's stop giving big agencies money to scrape their ideas from social media. It's basically how all agencies function... and the money floats up an away from grass roots / independant / youth culture. It's not the 90s, creators / artists are already creative directors, they are already building creative media businesses and new business models
this creative agency / marketing / brand partnerships consultancy model needs a shake up
