This is Eagle Eye. It's a tool used to find people's social media accounts. You feed it the name of the person and an image of them. It does a reverse lookup on the image, uses facial recognition, then tries to find any Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter profiles of that person.

So here's my take on this. I don't like being lied to that Protonmail said they didn't collect IPs when they clearly do. But it sounds like they may be legally required to under Swiss law. So if its the law you should be mad at Swiss laws, not Protonmail. 1/3
This is a big deal for some. Be advised. ProtonMail removed “we do not keep any IP logs” from its privacy policy.
