Our latest report reveals people are being let down by how ADHD and autism services are commissioned. We found long waits, poor information about patients' right to choose and inconsistent diagnosis recognition. Read more: orlo.uk/Mok8c

If your economic plan depends on making us disabled people poorer, it’s not a serious plan for growth. Inclusion strengthens economies. Exclusion weakens them. #DisabilityJustice

Pls spread word. Three digits can help protect you from scams: 159. If you're suspicious of a 'call from your bank', politely hang up and dial 159. It connects you to a switchboard that puts you through to your bank's real number. Watch the video for why its extra protection

Keir Starmer is reportedly about to announce universal digital ID. Say no to digital ID. It’s a huge government overreach and infringement of civil liberties and freedoms. No one voted for this.

Anybody can change from being fit and healthy to sick and bedbound. Anybody can develop chronic health conditions or become disabled or terminally ill. Anybody can change from being employed to unemployed and unable to work. These things can happen to anybody. Anybody.

This from Jeremey Clarkson resonates with me so much. Also a Remainer, I held the same view. People like he and I are many. We watched the working classes be labelled "moronic far right xenophobes, confused by a bus", and it woke a lot of us up. Those same people, who were asked a question, answered it, have been denigrated for the last 8 years. They still haven't got what they asked for in that 8 years - in fact, it's got considerably worse than when they voted Leave, yet 8 years later, they're now called "Far Right". We stopped being a democratic country in 1997. This was confirmed in 2016 when the proles didn't do what they were told. And in 2024, we're seeing the repercussions of 30 years of the abuse of the people. 30 YEARS, they've taken your money, and given you nothing in return. So stop. #FullNAtionalStrike

It's understandable, given that I think the Government has wilfully blurred the lines, but there's been some misreading of what yesterday's announcements will mean for ill & disabled people so I thought it was worth offering my interpretation of where things stand... 🧵

It looks like the OBR are estimating that tightening the WCA criteria will mean that, by 2028-29, 𝟑𝟕𝟏,𝟎𝟎𝟎 fewer people will be protected from conditionality & have a higher rate of benefit They only expect this to raise employment by 𝟏𝟎,𝟎𝟎𝟎 👀 obr.uk/docs/dlm_uploads/E030…

I spent 7 hours listening to the ‘Pink News Trans Summit’, sponsored by @EYnews. What I heard shocked me. Mocking women. 6 year olds transitioning. Doctors lying. The COO of @Wickes saying “90% of the population are just slightly ignorant”. Read here. jamesesses.com/p/the-horrors…
