What a day this has been! It's genuinely been incredible. I remember, in 2016, watching Season 1 as it aired weekly. Never could I have imagined I'd still be here ten years later, providing all the latest news and leaks for you all and being able to follow the production of Season 3 & 4 behind the scenes! It's genuinely been an honour! This will be my last leak for a long while, I'll still be here of course, reporting on all the latest news and happenings in Re: Zero, but I think it's time I take a step back from being a leaker. And so, without further ado, my last leak: I can confirm to you all that Season 5 is GREENLIT behind the scenes. And has been greenlit for a while, too. I don't know when they plan to air, or anything like that, but needless to say, I CANNOT WAIT. I hope you all continue to follow Re: Zero - and for those who are anime onlies - consider reading the Re: Zero Web Novel at Witch Cult Translations! It's peak!

Leaks won't be today, I am not sure when they will be. But since it was requested on Discord, I'll do a small teaser of what to expect from Season 4's Finale. My mood is really optimistic and positive towards the episode, despite it having had quite the tight schedule. Especially towards the Emilia vs. Volcanica fight and the very, very end of the episode. Hands down, those are likely going to be what are lauded most in the episode, I imagine. As should Shaula's final moments, I hope! Also, we're going to get a super, super cool transition when Volcanica blasts away the shadows (and Subaru and co. with them) to one of Pandora's birds, observing what happened, before flying away. Also: A lot of people are hoping for something included from SCORPION TALE and the like, but don't expect anything like this. I've yet to see any evidence. The episode will have at least three episode directors, all of whom, imo, will absolutely cook! An excellent, excellent selection. There will be some surprises in direction, but I won't be spoiling them (even when I do my main post)! Also, though I've said it a couple times before, the official post saying the episode is 45 minutes long is not quite correct. The episode runtime will be more like 40~41 minutes in length.

Re: Zero Season 4, Episode 16 - Spoiler Warning I've finished watching the episode. This is probably the most anticipated episode of the entire Season, and given the weight attached to it, I'm going to leave most things, including my opinions and anything too detailed for when it airs officially. I know this may disappoint some people, but I think it's best we go in blindly again. That said, the episode begins with Subaru finding his own Book of the Dead, and ends on Subaru returning from the Hall of Memories and re-introducing himself to Emilia as her one and only knight. And you have nearly everything from the novel you'd expect in between. Extended length episode. A little over 26 minutes & 30 seconds. No opening. No ending. ■■■■■■■■■■ ■■■■■■■. Title: Natsuki Subaru Rating: ■/10

Re: Zero Season 4, Episode 15 - Spoiler Warning This episode was incredible. There is no better way to preface this post than that. Of course, the start of the episode follows from last episode's cliffhanger, with them facing Reid Astrea = Roy Alphard (or Roid for brevity). The episode proceeds without much fanfare until the shadows of the Witch of Envy show up, and the tower begins crumbling. Some really awesome angles here, and lighting + compositing is much better than usual. The fight continues as the tower crumbles, and albeit brief, it was awesome. We even get Reid underwear shots. The final bit where Reid kills Subaru too was extremely well done. Then, onto the meat of the episode. After Subaru Returns by Death, he goes to meet Shaula on the balcony. It is time for "Earnest Star". And boy. Did it move me. And that's not an easy feat. The scene was so emotional, perfectly complemented by touching boarding, a beautiful soundtrack and Ai Farouz's best performance as a VA so far. And the direction to boot. I don't really know how I can describe the emotions via text, so I just advise everyone to watch it next week and let the emotions sink in. The title card for the episode is shown right after Subaru suicides to save Shaula. After Subaru returns, the Counts begin. Of course, like in the novels, we won't see every single Count, and some are a bit spedrun, but they did an excellent job given the limited runtime. Each Count they show is accompanied by Subaru giving a quick summary of what he learnt during the failed loop. The first one, Count One, is the one we see the most of. Where we see how Reid and Roy become Roid. Really engaging and enjoyable, and well hammered out in general. The other Counts that are shown are: 2, 7, 10, 11, 12, 15, though they are brief flashes for the latter few. But still as a whole, extremely well directed. After Count 15, Subaru is left alone in Taygeta to recover, as in the novels, before using Cor Leonis to lead him to his own Book of the Dead. The Ending theme begins to play as he reads his own name on the Book, for a dozen seconds, before launching into the Ending Visuals. No Opening. Ending is as described. Not an extended length episode. Title: "The Earnest Star" My rating: 9.15/10

Re: Zero Season 4, Episode 13 - Spoiler Warning Oh boy, here we go. Now we truly start Cour 2. There's not much to say about the first part of the episode, it's relatively normal. They go to the library to look for Reid's book, with the "That is that, this is this" conversation kept on the way. After finding Reid's book, Subaru decides to read the book and is brought to the Hall of Memories. I really liked the transitions here, like a circuit, and some really cool angles after Rui introduces the place! The lighting and composition of the Hall looks essentially as cool as it does in the PV. The direction gradually ramps up as Rui gets under Subaru's skin. We also get an intermission about halfway into the episode, showing Shaula and the others POV as the obstacles begin to manifest inside/around the tower. After that, the direction continues to ramp up, emphasising Rui's manipulativeness as she goads him to kill "Natsuki Subaru", causing him to break down. This was done excellently. AND HERE WE GO. STAND UP. AND WE SEE REM! With a gorgeous soundtrack playing as she firmly tells Subaru to Stand Up! The facial expressions and close-ups are my highlight here. Simply gorgeous. And wow, the scene where Subaru is awakened to Cor Leonis. SPLENDID, with a constellation in the background too! Beautiful visuals, and my favourite part of the episode, easily. And after that we have Subaru stand up to Rui, also done extremely well, telling her at the end that "that is that, this is this" before he leaves, realising her brothers are in the tower. After Subaru leaves, pledging to meet Rem again, we get a bit of "Rui Arneb" (Volume 25, Chapter 3, Section 1) interspersed into this episode, in what is Chapter 3, Section 7 (in Volume 24). i.e. when Rui starts malding and breaking down. It shows some flashes of the moment Rui discarded Rem's memories (depicted as a small blue orb), as she's about to eat Natsuki Subaru. Including where she splits into two. This was really cool, albeit quite brief. No opening. No ending. The episode is extended. Approximately 29 minutes. Title: Stand Up
