In 2023, Gov. Tim Walz signed a law making abortion a "fundamental right," with no limit on how late in pregnancy. They cheered.
That same year he signed a change that struck the state's duty to "preserve the life and health" of a baby born alive after an abortion. Now it just says "care for." They also scrapped the report that counted those babies. Minnesota had recorded 24 of them in eight years.
Then in August, Massachusetts did it too. Gov. Maura Healey signed away the state's 24-week limit, leaving late abortions up to "the professional judgment of the physician." She got applause and smiles.
A mass murderer facing his sentence is too ugly to watch.
Applause for that is just fine.
