Ultimately, AI is a weapon. Historically, the country with the most advanced weaponry wins the war. If we don’t have the most advanced AI, we’re sitting ducks. Please explain this to the idiots out there who want our enemies to have more advanced weaponry than us. Feel free to tag them below.

Total BS - these guys haven't a clue. I am using AI for 16 hours a day and each team member is running ~10 agents concurrently on average...we are producing more software than ever before with far fewer people. Andrew is noise and the devs on the ground are signal.
In a randomised trial, software developers using AI took 19% longer to complete tasks. Yet they believed AI had made them 20% faster. At the ‘Evidence in Action’ event, I argued for a government that tests what works, and saves money by learning from the results. ministers.treasury.gov.au/mi… #randomistas
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The 19%/20% figures are from a July 2025 METR study of experienced open-source developers using early-2025 AI tools, which the authors describe as an outdated snapshot; a 2026 follow-up found some evidence for speedup with newer tools. metr.org/blog/2025-07-1… metr.org/blog/2026-02-2… arxiv.org/abs/2507.09089

Just had a really sophisticated scam call from “Gloucestershire Police”. Correct number. British female voice. Text message to confirm. Really polished script. “We’ve arrested someone who was using your identity to commit financial fraud. Your passport and drivers license was used….” Invites me to come to the police station nearest to me to view the evidence. … then… Wants to confirm the crypto accounts that are genuine … didn’t feel right… she puts me through to her Sargent… British accent… he starts asking for info about my “genuine accounts” … I start asking questions and *click* Did some searching and it seems to be a scam that’s doing the rounds. AI voice alteration, cloned phone numbers etc. really sophisticated. Be careful out there.

The UK wouldn't have a problem at all if all immigrants had the same level of respect as these chaps. 🫡🇳🇵

Great line from the CTO of Proton. I’m paraphrasing and stealing it : Your job is not to use agents to help you write code. Your job is to lead the agents to help them write code.

Just a joke...I mean...I'd just tax the users and make it their issue...which might support more political engagement. 480p coming to French screens very soon 😅
BREAKING: French lawmakers vote to impose a €0.055 tax on every gigabyte of data sent by companies like Netflix, Google, and Meta.

Musk will create personal computers one day...Apple's supply chain is a mess...and MS/Windows is just a wasteland of garbage.
JUST IN: Elon Musk says Apple's $29,799 Mac Studio makes a Tesla seem "quite affordable."

100% - these are not the engineers getting the jobs done...in any company!
There are two completely different species working in tech: 1. The backend engineer losing his hairline debugging a broken production deployment at 9 PM. 2. The 'day in the life at Google' influencer whose entire sprint consists of eating 4 free meals, grabbing free merch, answering 2 emails, and filming an aesthetic reel in the office mirror. Somehow they both had to pass 5 rounds of LeetCode Hard to get there.

Nice!
Normal gym goers really have ZERO clue the resistance revolution that is happening in the gym equipment space. There's currently, not 10 years from now, but today, a digital machine that's the size of a shoe, weighs 13lbs, and can produce 500lbs resistance. There are machines in the works that will soon be able to do 2x that and you can adjust EVERY single part of the resistance curve. The craziest thing is the fastest advancements are coming from home gym hackers who want better equipment. Incredible!

Many British people involved in these scams - they cannot do anything useful and so they resort to scamming the world.
Social engineers pretending to be Google Support keep calling me, so I took the opportunity to create this educational video showcasing their tactics.

Probably a good example of how "AI slop" can subtly convey errors / falsehoods that the majority cannot easily detect. ^ for example, Slovenia is nowhere near Ukraine.

The NSA is probably pretty upset that all of its secret backdoors for remote code execution have been patched.

Go to college. Take on six figures of debt. Get married. Spend another $40,000. Buy a house. Sign away 30 years of your income. Have kids. Pay someone else to raise them while you work. Retire at 67, assuming your knees and heart still work. Who agreed to this miserable deal?

It's honestly insane. You have the greatest entrepreneurial genius of all time right in front of you. And on top of that, you're lucky he's completely sane. Give that kind of power to a Bill Gates and we'd already be living in 1984. You're corrupt to the bone, and you know full well you're lying. Instead of saying "ok, we lost, let's let Elon finish what he started," your first instinct is to want him in prison. For what, exactly? For soon giving sight back to the blind? For forcing the entire car industry to go electric? For launching, again and again, projects that move humanity forward? This class of corrupt Democrats makes me sick.
Kara Swisher says Elon Musk might be in jail right now if Kamala Harris was in office and “he knows what’s coming” if Democrats take back power.
