Can the spread of #H5N1 #birdflu in dairy cows be stopped? Will it burn out or become entrenched? How far has the virus spread? How many human cases have there truly been? There are still so many questions that need answers about this troubling outbreak. statnews.com/2024/06/05/bird…

In this new article, we assess the effects of an intervention developed by the Danish Health Authority, @SSTSundhed, to promote resistance against misinformation during the pandemic.
The intervention indeed worked &, in particular, by boosting a sense of efficacy in users.

I want to remind everyone that Russia is spending insane amounts of money pushing bots and troll farms on all social media right now, including this one, in order to influence your opinions. And you must withstand their attacks, and you do this by acknowledging they aren't human.

Is variant evolution a possible concern - YES
Is that a paradox - NO
How come?

/End - short disclaimer (again): Denmark has very high immunity due to high vaccine rates. Comparision on what is happening i Denmark compared to other countries, should only be done with extreme caution.

Drivers of excess death is probably not only covid-19, but multifactorial factors in regards to other factors such as RS-virus, influenza, weather conditions, and other post pandemic effects (my speculation!).
With a relatively high incidence in the part of the population with the highest overall risk of death (+80 years), the number of deaths with Covid-19 has been low indicating good protection from vaccines.
During the pandemic a close surveillance of death certificates due to covid-19 was established in Denmark, this have fortunately only shown minor increases in deaths with Covid-19 as the cause of death in recent weeks. But trend is still on the increase.
In recent months Denmark both had very intense cold spell (more accidents and less mobility in old age groups increasing frailty), a severe RS-virus outbreak, introduction of new covid-19 variant and now rising influenza. All factors of excess mortality.
