Honest assessment:1) internet & algorithmic addiction bends the brain 2) cognitively, being ultra wealthy means life is a series of your own preferences & that is cognitively akin to being kicked in the head by a donkey - daily.

Exactly right. Citizens United is the most misunderstood decision in SCT history. The mistake was SpeechNow. We're in the 1st Circuit to fix it, and end Super PACs. equalcitizens.us/against_sup…
Replying to @DarrigoMelanie
Musk's contribution is through his super PAC and has nothing to do with Citizens United, which was about people acting through corporations. Individuals have been able to spend unlimited money on independent ads since Buckley v. Valeo (1976), and via super PACs since SpeechNow v. FEC (2010).

At least 45 international activists, including Brad Lander—a proud liberal Zionist—were just rounded up by police at an olive harvest in Nehalin and put on a bus. Unclear if they’re under arrest, being deported, etc. (I’m reporting this secondhand from Taybeh, where another fascist crackdown just took place.)

I’ve been detained by the IDF, along with a group of rabbis & volunteers. We were simply harvesting olives in a grove near Nehalim in the West Bank.
The occupation is a crime under international law. Harvesting olives isn’t a crime under any law I know.

ProPublica: Trump Appointees Wanted a Voting Machine Hacked
A few months into President Donald Trump’s second term, political appointees at the Department of Homeland Security made an unusual request of its agency focused on cybersecurity: Secretly acquire a voting machine and hack it.
The appointees wanted the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency to procure the machine, examine it and report back the findings so they could be given to the White House, according to two former administration officials with knowledge of the request.

Why is our government seeking to secretly hack voting machines?
Political appointees at the Department of Homeland Security wanted CISA, an agency that protects election systems, to acquire and hack a voting machine, which shocked staffers.
“This goes against everything CISA represents,” a former official said.

Lindsey Graham & Jim Clyburn were under FBI investigation, as part of a potentially explosive corruption probe in S Carolina.

Calif was founded with a mission to make the Internet a more secure place for everyone. In the last few months, we have been seeing significant advances in AI model capabilities, especially in the domain of offensive security research. In addition to publishing our research and learnings, we wondered what else we could do to help defenders.
While large corporations and government agencies have the dedicated budget and human resources for incident response and forensics, there are non-profit organizations –- collectively known as civil society organizations –- investigating digital threats affecting vulnerable groups and they are funded entirely by volunteers. In order to perform their job, the civil society researchers may need to extract data from mobile devices for forensic purposes, reverse engineer malware, and conduct similar security tasks. This work can be challenging given the restricted environments on some mobile devices.
We understand these technical challenges and will offer our research services and capabilities to these organizations, free of charge. We support them and their mission.
If you represent such an organization and need assistance, contact us at [email protected].

🚨 BLADES ON THE MOVE 🚨
At one of our Octopus Energy Generation sites in rural France, we’re “repowering” old turbines by replacing them with more efficient, modern and bigger turbines. And huge blades = HUGE LOGISTICS to get these bad boys up and running.
Normally, blades are delivered on two supports, but where space is limited *cough, rural France, cough*, we use a snazzy machine called a blade lifter (which you’re seeing here!) Blade lifters are much slower than traditional delivery methods, but in this case it’s the only option to transport these 57m long blades through the narrow village streets.
At this site, four out the six wind turbines’ blades have now been delivered carefully via blade lifter. Not long now until they’re all in action creating clean green energy. 💪🌍
As for the old turbines - a majority have been resold to go up at other sites. We’re also converting one of the old blades into furniture for the local community to use in a nearby forest. Talk about a win-win. 🌳
