Very happy to be affiliated with the recently established #Centre for #ArtificialInteligence in #Government (#CAIG) @unibirmingham, directed by the wonderful @smych👇🏽 (birmingham.ac.uk/research/ce…).
Exciting projects underway, funded by @scriptsberlin, together with Slava & @mhallerberg @_paugc & other lovely folk.
And I'll give you a little hint: one of our papers involves the #WTO 😊

The EEI pathway is pretty unique @unibirmingham . It creates "space" for closer engagement and collaboration with industry and government as part of the academic career.

Our research themes are (a) causal language understanding, (b) impact of generative AI on democracy, (c) AI and data science for health and climate change. Other research themes for the postdoc work are welcome!
We just published a new version of the UN General Debate Corpus. We extended the dataset to cover all General Debate sessions from 1946 to 2022. We also cleaned the corpus and updated speaker information.
