The case was filed by High Schoolers LLC, a trademark company owned by André 3000 and Big Boi, on September 16 in the Northern District of Georgia against Ovrkast. (Silas Wilson). I wasn’t even thinking about OutKast...’” OutKast argues that Ovrkast.’s statement proves the public confusion is real and that he’s continuing with knowledge of it. OutKast is seeking a permanent ban on using the name Ovrkast. or anything similar across his music, merch, websites, and socials, plus his profits, damages, legal fees, and destruction of branded materials. They’ve requested a jury trial. In 2024, OutKast also sued EDM duo ATLiens, arguing that they coined the word for their 1996 album.
