Been spending a lot of time on system design lately, especially around the delivery infrastructure we’re building for Explore. Dispatch sounds simple until you start thinking about distance, vehicle type, rider availability, reliability, failed assignments, reassignments and what happens as order volume grows. We’re designing the system to make those decisions intelligently in real time. Short trip? Bicycle. Longer trip? Motorcycle. No rider nearby? Expand the search radius and try again. The goal is simple: hide all that complexity behind one “Place Order” button. This is the part of building products I really enjoy.
