These are strange times indeed. A virus that strayed into human society has forced the entire planet into isolation, and put an end to the workings of the world as we knew it.
The post COVID19 era, when it dawns, has to be the beginning on a new normal - a more cautious, compassionate normal that is aligned with nature. We need to rethink our priorities, and with it our collective lifestyle.
At SmartBox, we thoroughly enjoy what we do. There is a certain magic to working with used shipping containers & transforming them into unique, utilitarian spaces that meet their owners’ needs in the most efficient manner.

One of the more exciting projects we recently worked on involved creating a living space for a client - a garden house of sorts. We set out to work with two units of 40’ high cube containers, and in a span of 30 days, came up with this charming structure. #architecture
Snug, sleek, minimalistic and extremely functional – it sets the perfect mood for both company and contemplation.

As January comes to a close, SmartBox is looking forward to a decade of eco-consciousness & #sustainability. As part of the construction industry, we hope to incorporate new green technologies and practices in our own work. We commit to the future of this planet & our part in it.
Our buildings are highly eco-friendly. We bypass the sourcing and transportation costs of traditional construction material by upcycling shipping containers that would otherwise become scrap metal.
We leverage the inherent structural strength of these containers to build fire proof, earthquake resistant structures designed for people.
Here's hoping for a greener decade where our skylines are populated with sustainable buildings!

Team SmartBox is glad to have played a tiny part in an ambitious, game changing event like #DiriyahSeason! Our pop ups were #recycled, assembled & set up in place around the #UNESCO heritage site, providing attendees with multiple entertainment and relaxation opportunities.
Cargotecture, with its reduced construction time, competitive costing and its massive benefits to the environment is an ideal pop-up solution for such events in the Middle East!
