Our unelected PM Burnham told us he would abandon Starmer’s plans to end the majority of jury trials but what he is proposing will take away the right to a jury trail of over 5000 cases a year by pushing them to magistrates court with no option to demand a crown court ( jury). Just like Burnham’s promise to end Starmer’s Digital ID programme - Burnham has lied to us, exactly as I predicted he would. Remember that Burnham does not even control the Labour Party let alone the Government.
