Cloudflare Launches Kitesurf: A Browser Built Only for AI Agents Cloudflare just introduced Kitesurf, a completely new web browser designed from the ground up for AI agents rather than human users. The announcement arrives at a pivotal moment: non-human traffic has already overtaken human traffic on the open web, and company executives have warned that humans could become a “rounding error” on the internet within five years as AI agent activity surges. Why a Browser Just for Machines? Traditional browsers like Chrome are optimized for people: tabs, extensions, themes, smooth animations, video playback, and pixel-perfect rendering. AI agents, by contrast, care about different metrics: token efficiency, low memory and CPU usage, fast cold starts, scalability across thousands of parallel sessions, and the ability to extract structured content or take screenshots cheaply. Kitesurf strips away everything humans need and focuses on what agents actually use. It runs entirely on Cloudflare’s serverless Workers platform inside lightweight V8 isolates. The result is dramatically lower resource consumption: roughly 3–7× less CPU and memory than Chromium for common agent tasks such as taking screenshots or extracting HTML. The browser was assembled in just 12 weeks using modular open-source components, including the Blitz rendering engine, Firefox’s Stylo CSS parser, and the Boa JavaScript engine. It already passes more than 215,000–235,000 Web Platform Tests and correctly handles many popular sites (Wikipedia, Hacker News, TodoMVC implementations, large portions of the Cloudflare dashboard, etc.). Limitations remain—no video, limited support for long authenticated sessions or complex CAPTCHAs—but for the majority of agent workloads these trade-offs are acceptable. Kitesurf is part of Cloudflare’s broader push toward an “Agentic Internet” a web that is readable, discoverable, callable, and payable by autonomous software. Earlier this year the company reported that bot and agent traffic had already crossed the 50% threshold, earlier than previously forecast. During its Q2 earnings call, Cloudflare’s CFO noted that if current trends continue, non-human traffic could be as much as 1,000 times greater than human traffic within five years. This includes AI agent payments using x402 I wrote about here: readmultiplex.com/2026/07/11… In this environment, giving agents efficient, purpose-built tools is no longer optional—it is infrastructure. Kitesurf is available for free (with account limits) during its beta period through Cloudflare’s Browser Run product. Existing Puppeteer, Playwright, or Chrome DevTools Protocol clients work with only a small parameter change (browser=kitesurf). The easiest way to explore it without writing any code is the public playground: → kitesurf.cloudflare.app Type in any URL, watch Kitesurf render the page, inspect the DOM with injected Chrome DevTools, and monitor memory usage in real time. For full documentation and API examples, see the official pages: Announcement post: blog.cloudflare.com/kitesurf Developer docs: developers.cloudflare.com/br… Kitesurf is an early but clear signal that the web is being re-architected for a new primary user: software that acts on our behalf. As AI agents begin researching products, booking travel, filling forms, monitoring sites, and conducting complex multi-step workflows at scale, tools optimized purely for human browsers will become less central. Cloudflare is betting that the companies and developers who give those agents the most efficient access to the open web will define the next era of the internet. Kitesurf is one of the first concrete pieces of that future and anyone can start experimenting with it today. We have 48 AI employees testing it now...

Automatically adjusted rate. Keeping you safe from redemptions. Still 300 bps cheaper than anything else in DeFi.
All of those people are paying 1% on their $ETH loan. You should not be paying more either.

There was some controversy on reddit about the latest @heinz_ca #AIKetchup campaign - people were saying they don't get "heinz" bottles on "ketchup" prompt. Now, with Dalle2NFT you can have an on-chain immutable PROOF that this exact image was generated by this exact prompt.
We wanted to find out what A.I. thinks “ketchup” looks like. So we used A.I. to generate images of ketchup on @OpenAI. The result? Just like humans, A.I. prefers Heinz. Comment below with a ketchup-based image you want to see. #AIKetchup
What’s the difference between right-click-saving an AI image VS Dalle2NFT? A thread: 🧵👇 (1/n)
