I've been super annoyed with having to open bloated markdown apps or editors just to look at a README, or proof one before I push it, so I created the markdown app I always wanted. Meet Peekdown, a tiny markdown previewer who's always there for you but never gets in your way. QuickLook Why launch an app just to take a peek? GitHub View md locally exactly as you do on GitHub Editor Correct typos as you find 'em Dark Mode Even in QuickLook There's More LOTS! peekdown.app

One thing that I am absolutely loving about AI is deployments. I used to have to manually walk through a checklist, then write down discoveries, annoyances, etc. Now Claude tells me what to do and I tell it the findings.

I created a form library a few years ago and had to put it aside. Then Opus 4.5 came out and nobody needed it. I finished it anyway because there's been a lot of talk about using frameworks with AI, and I truly believe form building can't get any easier than this.

Built a simple menubar notes app that floats on top of your apps and syncs between iPhone and Mac. Speak/type your note, then copy/paste it into the destination and the note is automatically cleared from your list. It finally went into review early this morning... 🤞

I do this as well. I talk to Claude and tell it what I'm thinking, how I'm thinking, and what my plans and goals are. Claude will remember this and bring things up I mentioned weeks or months ago that will really help with the current thing.
I am surprised that people are surprised this is how I prompt Claude. Talk to Claude the way you would a coworker. There's no secret to prompting. There's no need to be overly scaffolded or prescriptive for most tasks -- give Claude a goal, and it will figure it out. Back in the Sonnet 3.5 days, your prompt mattered a lot. Nowadays, it's much more important to communicate to the model: 1. What you want it to do 2. How much effort you want it to spend 3. How it should verify that it did the right thing

Nothing in this demo appeals to me. Am I the only one who doesn't want to hand over all of their information to a corporate robot?

"Claude, give me a breakdown on how many hours were spent and how many prompts were submitted while building peekdown.app." 🤯

I used an Android phone for the first time in probably eight months and the only thing I can honestly praise it on is the keyboard. 0 mistakes next 4,526 typos/min on an iPhone.

I mean harnessing electricity was kind of a big deal too
We are living in the greatest 30 day time period in technology history In the last month all of these have been released/are expected to be released: • Opus 5.5: greatest AI model ever • Meta Muse: The AI agent that will get a billion new people into AI agents • ChatGPT 6 Astra: First model that could be considered AGI • Grok 4.7: affordable version of Opus + Elon’s back • GPT 6.1 sol: Basically free intelligence • Sonnet 5.5 Dirt cheap intelligence you basically can't tell apart from Opus • ChatGPT Dot: Incredibly powerful AI agent that's capable of building out large scale applications The way you work 30 days from now will be dramatically different than the way you work today You will be significantly more productive with significantly less effort required Thank your God he/she decided you should be alive right now

I asked Claude how much time we spent working on my new notes app: About 55 hours, across 10 days. 688 prompts and 235 commits. That's so cool.

I spent the last week releasing a significant update to Peekdown and building a new app for iOS and macOS and I gotta say my ass really hurts.

I just realized Opus 5.5 no longer calls the superpowers skill. It just does what it needs to do. 🤯

peekdown.app v3.2 was just released. Mostly 'spit n' polish', with a ton of UI/UX improvements, new background & editor presets for light and dark modes, and custom backgrounds: create your theme color and the text automatically adjust for legibility! 🥳
