Vietnam has broken ground on their new $68B high speed rail project. If we listen to Con voices in Canada that lack foresight and ambition, we will be a Third World country in the future.

SEVEN PRIORITIES FOR A STRONGER CANADA.
What would it take to build a more prosperous, stable and sovereign Canada?
Here are my thoughts.
1. BUILD ONE CANADIAN ECONOMY.
Remove interprovincial trade barriers. Connect our provinces through better transportation, energy and commerce.
Why should an Alberta business face unnecessary obstacles selling to Ontario when both are part of the same country?
Make Canadian businesses each other’s customers. Keep more prosperity circulating across Canada.
2. GROW CANADIAN COMPANIES INTO GLOBAL LEADERS.
We create promising businesses, but too many struggle to scale or end up being acquired.
Give Canadian entrepreneurs better access to growth capital and domestic investment so selling to a foreign buyer isn’t their only realistic path to expansion.
Let’s build more global companies headquartered and controlled here.
3. MAKE SOVEREIGNTY SOMETHING WE CAN ACTUALLY EXERCISE.
Strengthen defence, Arctic security, cybersecurity and domestic manufacturing.
If Canada buys advanced military equipment, can we maintain and operate it independently when necessary?
Sovereignty isn’t just about what we own. It’s about what we can control.
4. MATCH IMMIGRATION TO CANADA’S CAPACITY.
Set immigration levels according to economic needs, housing availability, healthcare, infrastructure and our ability to integrate newcomers successfully.
If population growth consistently outpaces essential services, planning needs to change.
Immigration policy should be sustainable for newcomers and existing residents alike.
5. GIVE CANADA MORE CHOICES IN THE WORLD.
Diversify trade beyond the United States.
Invest in ports, transportation corridors and relationships that allow Canadian businesses to reach more international markets.
Trade with America. Absolutely. But don’t make our prosperity dependent on decisions made in Washington.
6. BECOME EXCEPTIONAL AT WHAT WE ALREADY DO WELL.
Aerospace. Nuclear technology. Agriculture. Mining. Artificial intelligence.
We have internationally recognized capabilities. Let’s turn more of that expertise into Canadian-owned industries, advanced manufacturing and globally competitive products.
Don’t just export the resources or discoveries. Capture more of their value.
7. GIVE CANADIANS MORE REASONS TO FEEL CANADIAN.
Terry Fox. Team Canada. Canadian scientists, musicians, artists and innovators.
Celebrate our achievements. Create shared experiences. Give Canadians from every province and territory more opportunities to take pride in what we accomplish together.
National unity should be something Canadians experience, not just something politicians talk about.
HERE’S THE OPPORTUNITY.
Canada already has extraordinary resources, talented people and institutions capable of supporting something much more ambitious.
But we’ve allowed provincial barriers to divide our market, promising companies to struggle for growth capital and critical capabilities to depend on decisions made elsewhere.
Those aren’t inevitable features of being Canadian.
They’re problems we can choose to address.
Canada doesn’t need to become someone else. It needs to become better at being Canada.
And there’s no better time to start than now.
What would you add, remove or change?

Currently in Japan for the first time, can confirm.
The disorder, litter, crime, dysfunction, drugs, and chaos in Canadian cities are a choice.
I will accept no more excuses from our politicians and will not tolerate newcomers who do not respect an orderly Canadian way of life.
