Rust events are a circle-jerk bubble where a huge nothing burger happens, People afk running ads for 4 days making someones yearly income, Streamers partaking will never play again Viewers buy the game to claim their drops and get dissapointed at the awful state of the game that wasnt portrayed in the microscopic custom designed gameplay they were introduced to. -Facepunch makes money -Skin sites make money -Non Rust streamers make money -Twitch makes money -Server hosting it makes money -Viewers get fked on with ads and another trash game on their library Ive seen more chatter on 15 viewers streams than in 20k afk drop farmer ones

Some people wont like what Im about to say, but the truth is: Saying "old recoil had less players", when it happened before they started inviting and making all the biggest non Rust streamers (XQC, Kai Cenat, Pokimane, whole OTV, Kingdoms, BurntPeanut, etc) whilst giving them drops to stay on afk for so long that twitch had to add a rule to stop afk streaming, boosting your game to the most watched category by the biggest creators and its the only game with almost biweekly drops on both kick or twitch. Playerbase increase in Rust isnt a cause of good game developing, Its a very elaborate marketing scheme. But no creator will say a thing because having that many viewers for that many days running ads can retire most people
