Every media company needs to be within ChatGPT in the next 6-12 months, that's my bet!
AI chat interfaces are replacing traditional browsers more and more, traffic is moving to ChatGPT and others. News, Sports, Entertainment needs to follow this traffic, and needs to be present.
Bitmovin tries to take the lead, we just open-sourced a reference implementation for News, Sports, Entertainment, etc. use cases, enabling video playback and discovery within ChatGPT, Claude, etc.
Take a look, give us feedback, wishes, ideas, etc.: github.com/bitmovin/bitflix-…
Crazy, I saved thousands of dollars this year using Claude to analyze my bank accounts, credit cards, insurance docs, etc.
We launched a new product: KAIROS 👏 🚀
Upload sport broadcast or news videos:
* generate highlight segments and clips, each one with a description of the happenings, where plays and important news reports are separated from dead time.
* Key moments are flagged and marked as possible highlights, giving you the possibility to automatically generate an highlight reel.
* Perform queries such as “all the goals scored with a header” or “all the passing shot winners” and obtain back the the clips of this kind across everything you've uploaded.
Free account gets 30 minutes worth of video upload, check it out here: kairosapp.tech ... and please give us your feedback!
Let your Claude Code, Codex, etc. create support tickets for you 👏
Bitmovin Customers can now create and track support tickets from their favourite AI agent, straight through mcp.bitmovin.com. Alongside Encoding, Player, Analytics, Stream Lab and Docs, the Support MCP is now in the mix.
Already connected to the unified MCP? Nothing to change on your side, the tools just appear:
• support_list_tickets : their own tickets, with paging, search and filters
• support_get_ticket : one ticket with the full public comment thread
• support_create_ticket : open a new one
Wanna try out some Shorts/Microdramas/Clips? Then check out our newly launched talecut.com/ product. Upload episodes, movies, etc. and generate your vertical highlight microdramas out of it. Pretty fun!
What do you think? talecut.com/
Our newest product! To generate clips, microdramas, shorts, etc.
We just open-sourced our MCP evaluation framework: bitmcp-eval! It's helping us make sure various LLM versions out there use the right tools in the bitmovin MCP to create enterprise-grade reliability and predictability in a non-deterministic LLM world. Might be useful for others too!
Give it a try: bitmovin.github.io/bitmcp-ev… ... Feedback and contributions are welcome!
Pretty impressive growth of our MCP usage over the past months, super cool to see! That's way more customers using our MCP than I would have expected. For some products, like Observability, it's like 50% of the customer base is already active via the MCP
If you haven't tried the Bitmovin MCP with your Bitmovin account yet, try it out in the ChatGPT App Marketplace for example: chatgpt.com/plugins?q=bitmov…
Hey everyone, Bitmovin is hosting a casual Happy Hour in Vienna during IETF week, bringing together the MCP and MoQ ecosystems.
🗓 Tues, July 21 ⏰ 6:15–8:15 PM 📍 Bierteufl, Ungargasse 5, Vienna.

We did pull all questions for @bitmovin documentation MCP and here is a summary:
The numbers — 3,707 real questions (1 Apr – 8 Jul), now ~80–110/day:
• 77% answered straight from docs
• 23% (846 questions) hit a genuine documentation gap — agent searched docs + community forum, found nothing sufficient
• 94% of questions are unique → real demand, not retry noise
Super cool to see how much usage there is of our documentation MCP! And a great way to identify gaps!

Curious on what you folks are seeing?
I'm excited to see real, low-BS metrics around AI adoption in Engineering. At @bitmovin, we see an honest 31% increase in engineering ticket/issue throughput (features, bugfixes, etc.). And this excludes various innovation projects that engineers and engineering managers are working on.
Indicative but less honest metrics are:
* LOC: 552k LOC April → 680k May → 921k June (+67% in 2 Months), July is on pace for ~1M
* 20% produce ~66% of the output
* +52% active users in Claude Code, so covering about all of technical staff and beyond.
* Total coverage of active users across Claude Code and ChatGPT: 130% of headcount
* Total Costs per year: 87k $
Super cool to see so much young talent attending the @ycombinator Startup School Event in Paris! @bitmovin sponsored two of our AI Incubator interns as well as two students from the excellence program of HTL @Spengergasse to travel and attend the event.
Next week, I'll be joining the world's largest gathering of creative minds in Cannes at Cannes Lions!
If you'll be there too, let's meet!
SaaS isn't dead. It's getting a makeover.
The APIs and data are still there. The UI? Becoming generative. And MCP is what lets agents use all of it.
On June 1st in San Francisco, 3 teams will show what that shift looks like: @sentry, @bitmovin, and Alpic.
