I had the honor of presenting the Order of Princess Olga to Ms. Gail Miller. Thanks to her support, we are rebuilding the Children’s Creative and Sports Center in Borodianka, which was destroyed by the Russians. I hope to see Ms. Gail at the center’s opening next year. Thank you for your trust and compassion. They are already turning into concrete results and new opportunities for children.

A pleasure meeting with the Foreign Minister of Ukraine, @andrii_sybiha today. Ukraine & Utah have a strong relationship with significant economic, diplomatic, and humanitarian ties.
I held a meeting with Ukraine’s Honorary Consuls in the United States. I thanked them for their dedicated work, commitment to Ukraine, and practical support for our people both here in the US and back home.
With hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians now living in the United States, supporting our community remains a major priority. We count on our Honorary Consuls in their advocacy in support of Ukraine, uniting Ukrainian communities and promoting the Ukrainian language and culture.
We also discussed practical assistance to frontline communities in Ukraine. Their needs remain enormous, and every partnership and humanitarian initiative can make a real contribution.
I am particularly grateful to everyone who is thinking about Ukrainian children, organising their visits to the US and also facilitating their rehabilitation in various parts of Ukraine.
Another important priority is expanding regional and economic cooperation. Stronger ties between Ukrainian and American regions, cities, businesses, and communities create lasting connections between our countries and new opportunities for Ukraine.
Honorary Consuls are also important voices for Ukraine in the United States. Their contacts, credibility, and knowledge of local communities help explain Ukraine’s position, advocate for our interests, and mobilize support for our efforts to end Russia’s war and achieve a comprehensive and lasting peace.
We are one diplomatic team. Everyone who has the honor of representing Ukraine also carries a responsibility to strengthen our country and its voice. Grateful to our Honorary Consuls for carrying this responsibility with us.

Trade, investment, and workforce partnerships are at the center of a Utah delegation’s trade mission in Switzerland and Germany this week.

I was delighted to receive, on September 23, Mr. Jabez Stuart Adams, President of the Utah State Senate, accompanied by Mr. Jonathan Freeman, President of World Trade Center Utah, and Mr. Miles Hansen, President of the Stirling Foundation.
This audience, following my visit to Salt Lake City in May 2024, allowed us to have an in-depth exchange on matters of common interest, particularly ways to encourage cooperation between the State of Utah and Africa.

President Zelensky and the Ukrainian people have stood admirably against an unprovoked invasion. I want an end to this war just as much as President Trump does, but it must end on terms that bring lasting stability and peace. That means ensuring Vladimir Putin does not walk away with a victory.
Ukraine is a sovereign nation defending itself against aggression. That is the reality. The United States should always pursue strategies that promote freedom and security, and I am eager to see where President Trump’s efforts lead. I have learned not to speculate on his negotiating tactics, but I do know that any long-term peace must come from strength, not concession.
