Jesus died on the cross to save us while we were his enemy. That is incredible to me. Would I ever sacrifice my life to save an enemy of mine, to give them a path back to right relationship with me? I don't think I would.
God has love, compassion and mercy available to his enemy and it is his will that all come to him and receive his grace and mercy (2 Peter 3:9). Actively sinning separates us from the love of God.
God is not "on our side" while we are living in sin. God loves us, but Jesus makes it very clear we are either for him or against him (Matthew 12:30). If we aren't his then we are his enemy (Romans 5:10).
Love your neighbor today. If you are correcting, correct in love. If you are rebuking, rebuke in love. If you are abused, respond in love. Do not keep company with destructive people.

Ezekiel 38 and 39 prophesies about nations rising up together against Israel. In God's wrath and anger he destroys them all and the world will know that he is the Lord. Beware what side you stand on in those days. It will take 7 months to bury the dead of those attacking Israel.
Children of God are not of this earthly kingdom. We are in enemy territory, and though we are in this world we are not of it. Our adversary is hunting for us, to "devour" us like a lion. So, children of God, be vigilant. Don't be distracted. Put on the full armor of God.
