Today I lost my best friend of almost 16 years, Whisper. He was my constant companion, and my rock. If you and I have had a QSO via satellite, it is almost certain he was just a few feet from the mic. You will always be entwined in my heart little buddy. ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
First Greencube contact! Thanks so much to Tomesz @Tomek_SP5LOT for hanging in there. Poland is one heck of a good first QSO in my book. Also special thanks to Dave @KG0D_Dave for helping me get on the bird in the first place!
New neighbor just moved in. The Laker "Spruceglen" is having engine trouble just behind my house since this afternoon, slowing traffic on the St. Lawrence River. I wish them well, but in the meantime it is a very pretty sight at night!
Really appreciate Chris @ChrisVE3FU putting out the much coveted FN45/46 grid line today. Was worried that work was going to keep me from him, but managed to grab a qso just now on FO-29. Thanks Chris! Made my day!

Wow!!! That was the very best Starlink satellite train I've ever seen. Absolutely stunning string of naked eye pearls in the sky! Thank you @PeterVogel for the post yesterday that reminded me to keep looking for these
#Starlink sighting opportunities.
Sorry to those I missed from FN33 yesterday. I had a mechanical I couldn't fully resolve in the field. No cell service either. Thank you to those that did get through though. For what it is worth, I did learn a lot to better prepare for the next rove.
I will be activating FN33 from the Stellafane amateur telescope making convention in Vermont this afternoon starting around 18:30 UTC. FM and Linear. I have a clear horizon to Europe for my first RS-44 pass @ 19:40.
Success!! Worked @astro_kjell this afternoon. So grateful after my epic fail of having another ham add a letter to my call. Then, not noticing it until listening to the recording. Never been so happy, and then so disappointed in my life!!
Having now successfully had a qso with an astronaut, I do hereby pledge not to work the ISS when @astro_kjell is on his current mission. I hope other successful hams will do the same. This is too great of a feeling not to share with our fellow hams!
Space Station Fail. Dancing all over the place after working @astro_kjell. I listen to the recording and just after my call a "tango" pops up. I didn't even know Kjell said KE2QIT with the extra "T" I was so excited. That one hurts a bit, but going to get him proper soon!
Thank you Nancy @Nancy_N9NCY and Sean @SeanKutzko for the new grid squares today, I appreciate you both for taking the time to run those grids for us!
Thank you Bob @K8BLbob for turning that pesky white spot of FN01 green!
No joy catching Neil @LetsRappThisUp 6Y/WB9VPG this morning. A tall order when both qso killers are on during the same pass.
Thank you Sean @SeanKutzko for a new grid and on JO97 no less! I've been eagerly awaiting #WildWestRove since you announced it. Thanks for doing this!
The James Webb image released today has to be one of the most incredible image I've ever seen. The closer you look, the more amazing it gets. Buckle up Dorothy, the universe as we know it is going bye-bye.
Wow! What a great RS-44 pass! Tyler @W7LT, then over to Randy @ND0C, and then across the pond to Peter @G_0ABI at 0.5°. Only some guy in low earth orbit could help me to top that pass!
Wonderful to have a nice ragchew on RS-44 with Dave @KG0D_Dave. Enjoyed those juicy grids on your last rove, but enjoyed the qso tonight even more. Thanks Dave!
