"Skybear․NET Scripts secret variables, HTTP triggers, and replacing AWS Lambda with Fly․io - Changelog 2024-10-15" - lambrospetrou.com/articles/s… It's delayed a few weeks, but I finally wrote down all the banger features I shipped for #SkybearNET the past two months. 🥳

Small win this morning to make it easy to run your scripts with keyboard shortcut `CTRL+ENTER` (Win/Linux) or `CTRL+RETURN` (Mac). 🥳 Press the key combination while you are in the script editor and your script will automatically run. Including the Open Editor page.

Users report bugs. We fix them! 💪🚀

🚀 Another major release today on #SkybearNET enabling both IPv6 and IP4 targets to be tested. We moved our script executor fleet out of AWS Lambda, and we now support all kinds of targets! The option `ipv6: true` is optional. This change will enable more features! 👌

🥳 Just shipped quality of life improvement when listing all your script runs, indicating if a script run Passed✅ or Failed❌. This will apply to all new script runs starting now. Enjoy, and let me know if you have other feedback. 👌

Hurl variables support unlocks SO MANY awesome capabilities! Your local scripts now fully run on the platform too. Run them in the UI, configure them to run periodically, or manually invoke them through your CI. 💪🚀

🥳 Finally, Hurl variables are fully integration in the #SkybearNET platform! You can define them in your Skybear account, and use them across all your scripts, everywhere, in the UI, and the HTTP/Cron triggers. See the video 📽️ for a quick demo, but a post is coming soon.

Things are getting serious! Support for Hurl variables when using the HTTP trigger for your scripts just landed! 🚀💪 Start building dynamic workflows and tests for your API! With the upcoming collections of scripts, the platform will be unstoppable.

Pass Hurl environment variables to your scripts when using HTTP trigger, allowing fully dynamic scripting. 🥳 Super nice feature, and also a stepping stone for full CI support, i.e. running your #SkybearNET scripts from your own CI workflows, or anywhere really. Demo video 📹

We are open for business! Try out our platform, and tell us what you need next. We welcome angry complains too, as long as they are relevant 😉😅

After several days of work, and a few weeks of vacation, we are open for business! 🚀 Pricing information at about.skybear.net/pricing I spent a lot of time thinking about the billing model, and the number of step requests seemed the best. If you have feedback reach out. 🙏

Finally! #SkybearNet now provides the full end-to-end experience for writing your scripts, configuring them to run periodically, and getting notified when they fail! Go and start writing your scripts!

Last item to fully enable you to use #SkybearNet for your monitoring purposes, email notifications when your scripts fail! Monitor your HTTP API continuously, and get an email the second it fails! 👌

Shaping up really nice! As soon as notifications are added, v1 is complete, and already useful for actual monitoring of your HTTP APIs.

Key milestone!

Finally, all done and ready for scheduled script executions! ⏳ ✨ Now you can schedule your @HurlDev scripts to run periodically every few minutes, or on specific dates, using standard cron expressions. Notifications will follow soon! Have fun 🎉 skybear.net

Another nicety now available on #SkybearNet 👌 See historical runs of your script, including access to the source code of that exact run, and to all the output resources you persisted in that execution. Current retention is 30 days. Building up to the scheduled executions... 😉

Get full introspection of your script's requests and responses!
Replying to @LambrosPetrou
A key feature just landed in #SkybearNet! You can now save, and view, the response body of your script's requests using the Hurl `output` option (10MB limit). Specify the `output` option for any of the requests as necessary. Check the attached video for a walkthrough 👌💪

Another small improvement went out today for #SkybearNet. Access the input source code even when it fails to be parsed. There was a small bug that was just showing the error so far, but you can now see the full input source code to better understand what's failing.

Starting today, you can access previous script runs results.🎉 I will soon make the full response body available for download too. There is a 1-month retention for now, but I am planning to add a forever snapshoting option too. ps. Only works for signed-in users😉👌

It got delayed a few days, but #SkybearNet is now open for business✨ Sign in, create private scripts, and modify them at will. Scripts you create are *private* in your own account👌 A future release will enable explicit sharing with others. Enjoy 🎉 skybear.net/

Ultimate changelog thread for #SkybearNet, my platform for running HTTP web scripts ✨ I will be replying here with every update, in order to keep record of all the progress. Inspired by some other folks doing it. Will of course have a website changelog too. Updates 👇🏼
