Start with New Titans. Nightwing’s there, making references to his time as Robin. Rebuild Supes & Bat backstories secondhand like that while focusing on the younger characters and threats that bring them together.
Slowly build up to needing Batman’s guidance and Supes’ power.

We use the term so causally but nothing truly is a video game-esque “level up” quite like discovering you have been dead wrong about something. In that instant, you advance your wisdom and abilities. Why does everyone fight so hard against that? It’s one of my favorite things.
