I think "press secretary" is a made up job and it annoys me when my feed is literally flooded with stories about it. Is this actually news? Maybe I'm just grumpy today and need to get a workout in.

Are all models converging to use these weird affectations and mannerisms? Grok 4.6 just told me "The list was optional scaffolding, not load-bearing." I really, really hate this style of writing. Grok 4.5 would never.

So many of my accounts (e.g. Amazon) already have payment methods attached. Need a solution to let Bot access my accounts, while I retain robust payment control and the ability to use my accounts as normal.
Grok Bot can now buy things on the internet. To get started, connect @link, send your Bot shopping, and it can complete purchases on your behalf.

The US losing created space for Costanza memes. I don't hate it. Sometimes sacrifices must be made.

I think they will experiment with this, not for the benefit of user experience, but for the benefit of the data. Would provide better view of where people from different politics /bubbles / tribes agree and where they disagree and to what extent.

I have a slightly contrarian take on this. Firstly, I think the adoption of muted pallets are driven by primarily by market changes on the type and how housing is built and sold. It is not some universal suppression of taste or desire of the population at large. Nor is it a conspiracy to "drain the soul" of home owners 😁 1. As more and more housing is pre-planned and pre-built by large developers, the developers have an incentive to pick a pallet that is least offensive to most potential buyers as opposed to picking colors that would maximally appeal to a single final purchaser. 2. Large new suburbs all have HOAs that enforce consistent visual standards, again driven by a desire to minimize distaste on average, instead of maximizing individual aesthetic preferences. 3. As homes have become larger they transition from an ornament of the lot they sit on to being part of the canvas, again incentivizing use of a neutral color. But its not all bad news. While the color pallet of homes have become more neutral, in many neighborhoods I increasingly see color being added back in the form of landscape and decoration. For example, I have seen in many areas across the still growing south US, flowering trees, flowers, bright shrubbery, accent lighting, flags, wind chimes and even garden gnomes, increasing being added. Hopefully this trend of adorning and complementing a neutral colored home with landscaping and accents accelerates, as I don't see the market forces which have led us to this point easing up anytime soon.
The world really is getting grayer and more monotone you’re not just getting old and depressed.

"I'm going to Boston ... for the food!" is basically a code phrase that you've been kidnapped.

Should I tell my wife that she repulses me like no one else in the world?
At the atomic level, nothing ever truly touches. What we feel as ‘touch’ is our brain interpreting electromagnetic repulsion. The object is real, the sensation is a constructed illusion.

Many have a job because the company already forgot about them. Wild.
If you get fired from your job, the entire company will forget about you literally one second later Wild

I think I've been online too long. I genuinely can't tell the difference between sincerity and satire right now.

Only very bad programmers did that. Now they get an AI to do it for them.
