Big news for MTN.
Nigeria’s competition regulator has approved MTN’s plan to buy IHS Towers in a 6.2 billion dollar deal.
There is one condition. MTN must later sell up to 30% of the Nigerian part of IHS at normal market prices.
MTN says it is fine with this rule.
The deal is still a top priority and should help MTN grow stronger and make more money over time.
IHS owners already said yes. A few more approvals are still needed.
